It doesn't make any sense why she should save him as he wasn't at the gun point to marry Arshi.

He is going ahead with this wedding means somewhere he is ready to accept his fate. It would have been great if he accepted his attraction, affection towards jhanak and stopped this wedding himself even though jhanak doesn't love him( according to his assumption).
