I don’t get why they want to do it. Demographic data is good. And India has deep rooted caste issues. Hence I am against caste census as caste system is a known evil of past and we need to move beyond it. Not do census of it.

Opposition and Nitish wants the result of caste sensus to be public so that then they can demand increase in reservation for people with more share in population.

And it would probably spill over to private sector as well. Opposition in Bihar has already demanded it a couple of times.

sorry. This infuriates me. They won’t more reservations vs meritocracy. And am sure they also want to use it to do targeted appeasement for votes.

I knew it. No good can come out of caste census.

I so hope govt doesn’t fall over this and also hope BJP does not cave over this. 😳😳

So true, earlier it looked like Yogi ji is next in line, but with UP fiasco everything is doubtful 🧐🤔 also Modi ji said he'll lead the party till his last breath but iss Baar ki palti ginthee has it sent him any feelers, also naughty Sanjay Raut uncle is saying Fadnavis resignation is only part of the story and actual target is Yogi ji for UP fiasco and PM Modi should take responsibility for national level decreased performance. That gave me 90 percent class topper bandha ek Baar distinction mein gir Gaya wali feeling

Arre aise kaise? 2029 is not after 50 years. Hope they have some options ready, otherwise they will go the INC way.

@bold: please no. India is not ready to spend that kind of money on elections before 5 years. :(
