BJP is party of activists with loyalty and commitment to their ideology. Their core voters skipped voting because election days became holidays in mid May. Hence elections should've been held in March instead and voting in scorching 🥵 May is no joke especially in rural areas.

Most importantly - they needed to mobilise the core voters to actually go and vote. Organize transport to take them to vote etc. their core is busy taking vacations or holidays on election day assuming 400 paar baakee sab karvaaa lengey.

Amit bhai / Modiji ka core strength is ground work that they did themselves during their early political career. They will need to dig deep and bring that change for BJP again.

Agree even I'm super pissed with the inclusion of Praful Patel into the party. I really wanted BJP to stay away from the SS mess instead of strength and stability(SS) faction inclusion brought them a huge MESS

I'm totally hopeless of UK but as long as there's instability of government in India UK is safe, so this Indian election result is a respite for the UK and US.

UK & US badly wanted India to be in weak 5 for us to stay in the top.

I know I have read about Yogis selections being over ruled etc. but still - results have stumped them given Modiji ka khood ka votes. Smriti. Etc.

Every Indian should be happy today. A strong opposition is great for a democracy. It holds the Government accountable and keeps it in check. The party in power has to work harder for the people. It's a Win-Win.

If Modi does in fact take this oath for the 3rd time, it could very well be his most eventful 5 years. It'll be interesting how he navigates a coalition government when he's used to "Absolute Power" so far.

Sadly our investment was a plot of land bought between family members and slowly we had to buy back from others and consolidate. Now we have no idea what to do with that as it's all our life savings, illegal occupation is rampant in the city, our elders experienced the problems like properties getting sold to others and occupied by others etc.

We don't want to sell but don't know what to do yet so we're in a dilemma especially with the change of government to Congress.

Don’t forget. Appeasement promises is what INC did. Reservations / caste / khataaa khat. Despite them not fulfilling them whenever and wherever they have governed.

BJP will need to target those efforts to their core. Pehle apney core pe focus karo vs places where they got zero votes (yes not even 1) while building 500+ houses is just one example.

I am all for all the reforms you said. It’s what converted me to follow BJP. Judicial. Police. UCC. CAA and also NRC. Word is their hands will be tied for third term.

You know the phrase “Monday morning quarterback” ? What they felt was abkeee baar 400 paar was best slogan worked against them in hindsight. I am being the Monday morning quarterback here ofc.

Should have focused on - we need your votes to win seats to continue good work. Without votes we are at risk for our seats. In hindsight that would have prolly had a pretty different result.

I totally get you. I woke up. Saw results and had same thoughts. Then I spoke to some friends back home. I am feeling ok now. Let’s say I am cautiously optimistic again on certain things. But you are 100% correct. Some reforms will be for a later day.

Let’s hope NDA remains intact. I think we won’t lose traction on everything :). They can actually afford to lose Nitish as motabhai is working hard on others and he has strong expertise on that :). If you get my drift :). Naidu won’t be turncoat ..

Strong opposition isn't great it's like a mockery of democracy, as Robert Vadra once called it makes India a Banana Republic too many chefs spoil the broth.

pardon my opinion in advance. Real estate unless you plan to use immediately is best sold and proceeds divided esp in your situation. If selling it is an option to divide proceeds. The math in India for even a flat in Bombay is 2% rent and 9% mortgage. Unused land is worse. And you will get superior returns in liquid assets.

Heck if you want to remain in real estate. Sell. Distribute per current share and then reinvest in a clean way with single ownership in a City you are comfotable in. I have some disputed real estate. I dont expect anything as the process is crazy. So we just assume that won’t be solved and dont count on it.

Viable opposition is important to keep govt honest. However This opposition is not viable. So strong opposition in this case will be complete chaos.
