In current BJP power structure, everyone is dispensable. If Modi chooses to replace him midterm this year or next, i dont think he can pull off what current Maha CM did to Uddhav Thackeray. He can either split BJP and go for mid term election or stay in BJP as normal MLA/Minister in Modi cabinet. In a 4 way fight between BJP, Hinduvahini, SP+INC, BSP things starts to get interesting. He may pull a YSR reddy or he may become Raj Thackeray of Maha. In all scenarios, BJP loses, their national ambitions curtailed.

Modi is distributing ration for 80 crore people for last 3-4 years. He also transferred cash to farmers. So stop this non-sense that Modi will do freebies now forced by alliance partners.
