In loksabha elections u r voting for govt at the centre.

If u want to teach a lesson to the local leadership do that in state elections..and in the process also learn a lesson like Karnataka did.

Just look at their body language when they meet.

And observe opposition’s strategy closely.

Their first target after Modi was Amit Shah, then Yogi..next in the line are Tejasvi Surya and Annamalai. Whoever gains prominence, performs well and gains nationwide popularity is opposition’s prime target. They will spread all sorts of rumours and do mudslinging.
When nothing worked against Yogiji’s popularity they started these rift rumours. Don’t let this work..pls keep this dotted alliance out of power for years to come

Probably modi thought bjp will win just on his name. These results will probably make him realise that local leadership and deserving candidates are also important. If it's really true that Yogi's candidate recommendations were turned down then it's almost like he was trying to prove who is the boss here. Hope that mentality, if actually there, changes. Yogi ji has done exceptional work in UP. That is why these results are so confounding.
