Tanuja is actually the worst. Not sure if I’m right but it clearly looks like Ani was raised by Choton and the rest of the extended family while his dad was working and mom was busy at the members clubs. Now that he is older they discredit the extended family and believe it was just them because they provided everything financially. That is the only reason I can think off for his parents having zero understanding of their own child.

This also seems to be the reason why Tanuja is so adamant to please society and especially Shrishti as shes worked so hard to be in these social circles.
