true... she is feeling confused with Ani's behavior and words for sure. Why should she try to figure out if Ani is in love with her or not? He has been nothing but inconsistent and confusing! And morally also it will be wrong.

100% Agreed!

Saying love you to her cousin and going after her without any solid reasoning. No other girl will like this and if he can prove those actions to her that they're just mistakes and considered liking as love then the dynamics could be different.
