Abhira ne divorce nahi diya tha. Usne apna paksh saamne rakha tha. She stated facts about the marriage, the basis on which the divorce was finalized.

And after showing a proper court scene where the judge may also have gone through papers and terms of it, still showing that they are not legally divorced is dumb.

Armaan served the divorce notice, because he was too much of a coward to handle his family matters with maturity. He has been pushed around in the entire scenario, and he let it happen to him and Abhira.
