I am glad I am not the only one that found this weird. I posted this same question on the location chat yesterday. It is very obvious to that you put your hand on someone's hand when you ask for a promise. Why specify that with tharaki dialogue...

Just repeat this dialogue without the picture in mind! So double meaning!!
