I haven’t even watched Jhanak for three straight episodes now. I just come here to read and I am not surprised. I don’t know what makers are smoking. The characters - two of them have no consistency. I feel like after Ani’s accident the first time Jhanak left, manners decided to lower the standards of this show. Even for the sake of character sketch, this is looking like c drama where the ML is a literal criminal and brutalizes the FL but gets forgiven at the end because he knelt for two seconds and shed crocodile tears. Makers should know one thing - writing someone in love has been done successfully over and over, so why are they missing it? If Ani loves Jhanak, he should nof be ABLE to insult her. The key word is able. Ani should be reluctant to say hurtful things or even disbelieve her to the point of being stupid. In fact. We should be worried that she could mess him up give how pliant he is to her. Now, it’s like there is something wrong with his brain or our brains..must be flooded with hot water or something, put in a cage and drowned in the Red Sea…because Ani is giving toxic ex or villain energy…I honestly I’m going to confess atp, the character doesn’t appeal to me. At least Jhanak has downs and highs…ani is just descending into murkiness. I don’t care for romance…I would be crazy too because if these two are a couple now, it would be more torture for us. There is no actual true love, because whatever I am seeing is just screaming infatuation. Jhanak hasn’t really received any affections noteworthy from Ani not to be amenable to liking someone else when she leaves. One is obsessed with a young, pretty and talented servant that he wants to put under lock and key and take out when he wants and when there is a sign of ‘reveling’ he goes rabid…it doesn’t looks anything healthy. If I dare say, Ani and Arshi actually look healthier…and isolated from the storyline, it’s like Jhanak is a temporary obsession for Ani and it doesn’t help that the strongest characters in this show rn are arshi and shristi..they are consistent and their actions still have logic to it, not to mention that they are strong although negative individuals. As for the other in the duo, there is a total lack of self-preservation. Till now, I won’t get over how it made NO sense how and when she fell in love, to the point I’m wondering if makers are doing this to tell us that neither of them are in love…that’s sound and technical, but I don’t know if makers are that complex and deep to put this all on to show us an Ill-fated relationship for now. My advice for makers if they want to prep this into something with substance, we can have all these as solely attraction between two, Jhanak in her youth fell for someone who rescued her and Ani got infatuated with her and didn’t treat her right. They parted ways and while with Arshi, he realized Jhanak meant more and regretted his actions. He doesn’t even have to marry Arshi, they could be on a break. He meets Jhanak like three years after and they are both more settled and mature. They they can fall in love properly as two individuals who have gone through life together and apart, and have a mature relationship with a lot of reconciliation and conversation done….but who am I kidding? 🤣 I’ll give my left kidney if makers are that deep and rich in writing such..it’s ITV where they go for lower hanging fruit and want to keep up this mess as love with two episodes of whitewashing. The fact that there is an audience who encourages this baffles me. Jhanak and Ani both need to grow as people and need their own seperate space for anything to sound right. They need to discuss without enemies everywhere. If this was a kdrama, I wouldn’t have worries…ugh..
