Shrishti reached that status of fame (???) by manipulating people around her and eliminating competition. Besides that she has that extreme case of jealousness, where she needs to not just eliminate but need to see her prey suffer, just because they could have outshined her.

Yes. She is the one who is along the same wavelength as Ani, hence her scenes with Ani are a treat to watch. Both are each other's Kryptonite to say in a way. Probably one of the reasons why she doesn't like him for her daughter. She knows Ani is capable of lying and manipulating his way through with Arshi just like she does.

She is a Narcissist in a nutshell. Her need for control, the fear and jealousy that arise from her insecurity, and the need to be on top overrides anything and everything in her life, even her daughter Arshi. Her daughter is essentially an extension of herself which is why she can remotely care for her and love her. This is evident in her conversation with Arshi today where she expresses disdain and disappointment on her daughter picking up qualities from her husband that she loathes. Again, her deep-rooted fear and insecurity for Jhanak's mother is so ingrained that she extends it to Jhanak and is essentially manipulating and teaching her daughter to inevitably follow the same footsteps as she did. To nip things in the bud, but too bad. Jhanak is not her mother. Neither is Shrishti's daughter her.
