I know. I am not saying this out of anything but positive intent for team India. VK has been a fab player. Is a good player even now but too much talent waiting now for seniors to say .. times up. Yes he will play WC. No doubt. 🤣🤣

Pehle bhi hua hai. Kohli dropped Rahane because of insecurity in 2018 SA test series when Rahane was VC ( and people were demanding him to be made permanent) and Indias best overseas Batter. There was an interview of Rahane saying 'This is going to be my best year since India plays a lot of overseas matches.' After a lot of backlash he had to take Rahane back in 3rd test and India won that with a good contribution from him.

But Rahane never recovered from that betrayal properly.

Fast Forward to 2020-21 season. Same situation. Kohli c and rahane vc. Both are batting and Kohli is runout due to a wrong call and good fielding. Many experts have said Kohli played one of his best Test knocks. Then india loses and Kohli has the blackspot of being the captain of team that got out for 36. Kohli leaves and Rahane is made captain. Suddenly the team becomes world beaters with Rahane scoring a century when it mattered. India wins the greatest test series in the history of the game. The famous 'Toota Hai Gabba Ka Ghamand' series. Captain? The same guy Kohli dropped due to insecurity. The series was so inspirational that it made other teams believe that we can beat Aus at Gabba. WI did it after 3 years.

And anyways Barring Kohli/Bumrah the best performer for india in T20 WCs is Pandya. Wo recover ho jayega. As soon as MI gets out he should get out of this toxic environment.

We all know we have a non playing liability captain. So much that i wish somehow someone gets him injured. Only chance we have.

Rishabh Pant | DC captain: We were pretty happy with 250 on the board but with impact sub it is getting difficult each and every day. Definitely I can do that but the bowler also should be confident, but with a batter like David was walking down and today it worked. He has been amazing since the first day and this is what you want from a younger player, he's getting better and better with each game. The chances are increasing day by day, but we are taking it one game at a time.

My bigger concern is team India composition. Yuvraj saying Abhishek needs more time before he plays for team India. Yeah seniority nonsense got to go.

Speaking of T20, it is always a youngsters game and nobody's spot should be guaranteed be it any age. mentality fitness adaptability are more important than form, legacy and experience (more important for longer formats) . Totally agree with your point that seniority and idol worship needs to stop especially because it had stopped once and we won so much when that happened last time
