The country is hard to live in.

Even for tourism except food, cosmetics and cherry blossom I don't think there is much to see. If I have the money I would prefer Japan over South Korea.

Netflix took up strong woman nam soo and even attorney woo wasnt exactly big budget and didn't had A list starcast. Don't know how its decided on what online platform which kdramas air but the ones on Netflix get the most popularity internationally else the drama has to be that good like lovely runner or Mr queen.

Netflix picks up those projects which I don’t usually like. The two examples that you gave were dropped by me. I didn’t try nam soon but dropped attorney woo, tho it got international acclamation.

He is doing all genre of dramas and I think his personal fav is slice of life and offbeat dramas even though he got fame by doing action hero roles. His dramas are a hit or a miss but he always gives his 100% and his acting is good. I think he don't have that much connections in the industry like kim soo Hyun or Lee min Ho. Acting wise I like him better than them.

Not all cdramas have historical stuff..I guess it depends on the genre. These days I'm into light hearted rom coms and they had some decent ones like hidden love, amidst a snowstorm of love.

smiley6 I like Japan but why are japanese dramas so slow and outdated like they are being filmed and produced in 2000’s era. And also the subbing part is very difficult. We don’t get good subs for good j dramas. The ones which netflix is putting up recently are good tho and in my watchlist.

Netflix usually picks up projects that are already hit on air or had a great run in their respective channels.

Yeah some of them are too much fantasy based and weird too, but I avoid those. smiley36

They pick up projects while’s its made also and based on the channel they are airing they might select the show or also due to some other factors. Currently tvn is a very successful channel in airing good kdramas. The last hit was twinkling watermelon and now they have two shows doing wonders for them which is Queen of tears and lovely runner.

Lee jae wook was dating a k-pop idol, Lee do Hyun is dating the villain of the glory, then the whole haeri, soo hee and that spinless man, the ml of flex x cop was dating a blackpink member. Except Lee do Hyun everyone else broke up.

Lee do Hyun is into noonas onscreen and offscreen smiley37. The only time he got fl close to his age was go minsi for youth of may and she was his sister in sweet home smiley36
