I was almost losing it today with Appu di. They shouldn’t turn her into a plot device and keeps things natural. There is on ITV show I watch where the ML’s sister’s role is only to show up and tell the FL how wonderful her brother really his and how his hidden heart is so big and golden…I kid you not that she has no other purpose. Please makers should let Appu do real stuff and chill. And as for the romance, I’m literally not feeling it tbh. I can see what’s on my screen but it’s not paying off well. Makers skipped a lot of things to get here - a place we are sure that both of them like each other - the least they can do is have it all smooth and soft, sad scenes between them so close to her wedding so I can forget the leap of logic. But we are still getting why this and that? And what can I do? And there is no other way…I’m like this again? Can makers at least have them individually be morose over the other and lucid on the reasons for that. Instead of all this Rahul whatever, Ani can say he doesn’t himself like her getting married and leave it like that, he can own up to feeding her and make it come full circle when he said he wanted to. Jhanak can say he is getting married to someone else and I would like some discussion with Ani about the main point - how she is marrying because it’s a good way to leave - and I need him to really listen. Like he still isn’t listening to her because if he was, his anger would at least be shared at the core cause of her suffering. He is mad at Jhanak for saying to the old guy, but shristi who brought him is free, arshi who is laughing at it is innocent - that again, disturbs me. That Ani never like really condemns Arshi. Not 1 or 2 minute talk, I mean actually talks to her about his thoughts on her actions, as well as a missed opportunity to really show to us how things changed for Ani. It’s a running gag that I say that Ani has totally enabled all the bad guys here by his lukewarmness - but it’s really killing off the charm of this romance for me. If you were utilitarian before, at least, with your feelings there should be some outside changes that you can’t help but have right? Shristi says ani is confident in doing things for Jhanak, but is it selective or do we only get to see this when Jhanak is about to die? Ani, at this point, should not care about anyone or be able to control himself and his tone concerning Jhanak. Makers can’t do that and so they keep inserting Appu, reducing her to a plot device when Ani and Jhanak on their own have enough chemistry to carry their budding feelings through. I’m literally just half-heartedly watching. I sorry to say but I’ll just flip if Jhanak gets married to Ani now because it would just kill the potential. I have no desire for kitchen politics - so this kidnapping thing that Ani is saying is annoying me. Can he just be helpless and resigned? What’s all this Choton saying they should do something? She has decided to marry and go and instead of giving me good scenes of Ani being shaken and heartbroken, I’m getting this. Instead of scenes where he acknowledges why she chose that and where he actually talks to his family with no sense of self-preservation but only blames them for everything, even if selfishly, I’m getting this. So now, I won’t get heartbreaking scenes on the wedding, but plotting scenes? I need Jhanak to actually go with Tejas and get kidnapped and for her to either escape solo or get some help from Ani via call. But most of all, I need her to be in that position so that she chooses to leave and focus on her life and promo shows, and for Ani to stop acting pathetic and finally tell his family and Arshi what shit they are and break things off. Like..can makers give me the script for some days to write?
