Okay so I watched the episode after reading everybody's comments. I braced myself for the worst and was waiting to bash Ani too , however , it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.. okay so here goes...

Before I start I just want to say that I loved Hiba today.. I haven't watched her previous shows, and tbh so far in the show all she has said is haq and zimmedari, and so she never really managed to make an impression on me. However , lately she's getting to portray a range of emotions , and the turmoil within her is expressed so well!

So coming to the episode, I wanted to try and understand Ani's POV today since everyone is clearly quite upset with him...

Ani is absolutely furious that Jhanak is throwing away her life, and rightfully so. He knows Jhanak has the talent and drive to build a career for herself so he's angry that she's wasting that away just to get out of Basu house. When he voices this to her she doesn't listen - she's adamant that she's made her choice to marry and that's that, end of. And that's it for Ani..all hell breaks loose! After getting her out of Kashmir safely, getting her a modelling contract,, fighting with his family for her , here she is throwing all that away to be with an old man, who he thinks will keep her at home like a trophy. Im with him till there. As Jhanak gets frustrated so does he and starts shaming her by saying laalchi and what not. But in this entire conversation he's frustration stems from the fact that she's focusing on getting married rather than her career. But I'm thinking - okay but what about your feelings for her ?? Is that playing a part in this frustration? From this conversation, I didn't think so. Maybe because he's so fixated on Rahul that he doesn't think it's possible that Jhanak would ever love him. And i think that idea is so embedded in his mind that despite the hints she was throwing at him he just couldn't see it. At this point so far its clear that he himself hasnt realised that he loves Jhanak. Okay so this is where I'm struggling a bit with his character. He's a 30 something year old man . How could he not question his behaviour the last couple of days..the fear of losing Jhanak when she was in coma, lashing out at this family, doing pooja etc. Those were intense reactions from him but he hasn't bothered questioning it. I just can't stomach that part....

Anyway, keeping that aside. He tries to convince Jhanak to speak her mind and have her own opinion rather than blindly following what the family says. From his POV, i agree with that. And when she disagrees he loses his cool. But if you notice, Ani's reaction always mirrors Jhanaks. When she gets angry and says things to piss him off, he reciprocates with hurtful words. But the moment she calms down and begins opening up about her feelings, his expression and tone soften and the concern comes through. The moment she said 'Option nahi hai mere paas' with her doe eyes, Ani just melted. All he wants for her is to be honest with her feelings - not her love for Ani or anyone else, but the fact that she wants to do something useful with her life like she promised her mother. I get that from his POV , but unfortunately he doesn't understand her predicament and the turmoil within her to understand why she's doing this, and calls her names that he shouldn't have.

He wanted Jhanak to behave a certain way but she didnt. He got angry thats left him behaving lile a man-child. He's essentially throwing a tantrum and lashing out at her. At the family roundtable he called her maid, and the hurt in Jhanak's eyes was evident. But Ani is right..Jhanak calls herself a maid all the time so why is it an insult if he says it? And the dialogue with the garland - again, Jhanak has said numerous time in the last 2 days that all she wants to do is get married and leave the house. She didn't bother having a private chat with the groom to ask any questions either.. to a third person that looks like desperation (and we know it is and why). Ani basically just spoke the truth . He knows this marriage will ruin her life and wants her to fight back. Its like, if your close friend is going to do something that will not end well, ypu would do everything in your power to convince them against it. I agree insulting Jhanak in front of the family was not right but he needed to push her buttons to get her to understand the consequences of her actions. If Jhanak says that doesn't want to get married, Ani will put a stop to this drama at once. But. She. Needs. To. Say. It !!

Upto the end of today's episode I felt Ani's anger was driven by Jhanak nodding her head and acting like a puppet , not so much because of his feelings for her. But watching the BTS there was jealousy evident .. he was furious that Jhanak was okay to wear a saree gifted by her husband, which mind you, he did gift her a saree when HE was her husband, and she refused to take it, and now she was refusing again! Daaaayam, Ani was pissed ! If the family had any doubts about Anis growing feelings for Jhanak, I'm sure Ani has done a great job of clearing it! 🤣

Sorry I've just dumped all my thoughts in, hope it makes sense !

Would he have the guts to break his engagement with Arshi ?

Will have status ego like his family?

Jhanak should have said this and walked away . Lets see how much imandar is he to himself .

Why should she always be the receiving end let him also have sleepless night .

Jhanak was so good today in giving him all the answers , but what to do Anirudh doesnt know what is true love .

Yes Ani repeating I did so much for u and u r an ehsaan faramosh each and everytime he is angry is a bit too much! But he still does help her again and again inspite of everything! After doing so much and then shouting at her so much he again is her prince in shining armour! And I just saw a clipping somewhere in which Jhanak is in wedding attire and is in panic and she keeps repeating to herself that somehow she has to inform Sirji so that he can stop this marriage! I dunno whether it was a fake but if it does come to be true then we know that Jhanak still thinks Ani will help her inspite of her insulting him so much! What if he doesn't this time? She has cried wolf so many times too!!

Instead of helping her he shud just hand over the letter and let her go! Let her marry whomsoever she wants or do whatever she wants to do with her life! In fact after returning from the hospital when Ani came to talk to J I really felt he is talking to her as if he was talking to a child. Trying to reason with her why she shud question whom she is getting married to etc etc. But no she didn't want to listen to him. Everyone will have a threshold! It's obvious it's beyond the threshold for Ani. Hence he has blown his top off!

Disclaimer: I hvnt watched the episode!😅 Just some random thoughts abt why no one is blaming J! Playing the devil's advocate here!!!

Good Jhanak also repeats I didnt ask any from you .

They are even now .. ab bura nahin lagta.. the makers have made or trying to make the audience neutral.. most of us are pro ani and so used to seeing his antics on screen and without him it leads to a dull episode.. agar Asia hua toh Krushal can never take off🤪
For now some percentage of the audience is busy figuring out abt the mysterious hairstyle of the dulha.. thoda dulhe par toh spotlight rahe…🤣

Rahul even though had only appeared in the first few episodes made it to a celebrity status thanks to Ani and The celebrity herself😄
