Yeah, and his reasoning is also flawed. He told Jhanak that he agreed to the idea of her marriage because that would be a good escape from the insults she faces everyday from his family.

But he knows that marriage will be a bad thing to do at this point of time. Then why doesn't he put Jhanak in a hostel? Why doesn't he order Jhanak and blackmail her for her own good to make her go at some place like that and give her small job at a shop or office when she knows English. He feels for Jhanak so there is a subliminal desire to keep her near and he doesn't make efforts. He let things come easy. He is an irrational person. There is a story he has created about himself that he is good etc etc and support it through illogical arguments. That's what I think.

Girls, I am also getting a feeling, though Ani is good, but still he has got an inflated ego about himself and since he has got Bose blood in him, is he thinking with his status, there is no possibility he will fall for Janak. This might be the reason after so many emotional moments they shared, he is not able to get love as answer to his question. I might be wrong and overthinking. Pls share your thoughts.

My guess is he has convinced himself that what he felt/feels for Arshi is love and has not experienced the soul-consuming, deep, all-moving love that he is experiencing with Jhanak. His family background is also that none of them feel like they married out of actual love. Hence the actions that he has taken for Jhanak stemming out of love have been termed "Humanity" since he genuinely wanted to help her life and even now wants the same. It's easy to have tunnel vision around one reason and ignore the others. Plus, he is good at compartmentalizing himself, listing priorities and maintaining the status quo due to his childhood. He probably doesn't want to go back on his promise with Arshi and that is making him suppress his thinking to a certain extent I feel.

I don’t get his behaviour with Arshi at all not that he’s blind towards her behaviour with Jhanak why is he very patient and tolerant with her.. is he scared or is he guilt ridden?

The serial makers are like so far Ani was made to do the right things and he got praised for it at J’ expense.. let the tables turn and J be praised for her selfless love while Anis arc crashes

Jo bhi ho the makers don’t want us to watch the serial with normal BP😃
