Heroes of the episode:

1. Lakshman - makers have hit a bull’s eye 👁️ with this casting. His dialogue delivery, his body language, expressions are perfect. Today it was evident that Lakshman always looked at just his bhabhi’s feet I’m glad they avoided harsh dialogues from bhabhi’s end.

2. Ravan - can’t believe I’m saying this so the guy is capable of good acting, it must be the writer-director’s fault that Ravan is poorly executed.

3. VFX - the scene of Ram shooting an arrow and hitting the deer was aesthetically done and well executed. Lakshman Rekha was done well too. I’m looking forward to the war scenes.

It must’ve been super easy for Prachi to give those worried expressions because that’s the perpetual expression on her face

though one thing is probably, idk like a comment for better execution would've been when ravana observed that ram left to catch the deer, the PH's set was clearly visible.

i'm bit ambivalent over prachi in sita haran because yesterday, frankly speaking, she didn't seem on par with her role in the precap.

That sita haran reality i think mostly in all tv shows or film adaptation it shows was done. Now how much decently its shown depends on lots of factors.

So let's accept haran of chhaya sita happened and lakshman rekha did exist.

As mentioned abt curse on ravan that also was in some books

Yes, there is no Lakshman Rekha in Seeta Haran

Lakshman doesn't want to leave fearing for Seeta, but she chides him saying that he wants Ram dead so that he can marry her (Sita), unable to bear all these, Lakshman leaves, when Ravan comes donned as a Sadhu and abducts her while she comes to him

Unlike in Ram Charit Manas, Ravan holds her up and takes her away (nothing like only snatching her hair)

Lakshman Rekha is actually a very old belief. The Nachna Kurtha idols excavated (dating to 4th century) built during Gupta era, have the depiction of Ravan eyeing the Rekha while Seeta is approaching him and waiting for her to cross,

Ramcharit Manas doesnt mention the Rekha in the actual scene but in kind of flashback, when Mandodari tells Ravan to not fight them since he couldnt even cross a Rekha by Lakshman

The thing is Ram and Lakshman of Ramayana are very human like not many magic unlike the later texts, so yes things like Rekha aren't there

The abduction of Seeta by hair also seem to be for the same reason, as to how can Ravan touch Seeta Ma a goddess
