I once asked my driver in Kolkata, who's a hardcore TMC supporter, why support didn't go to the BJP. He told me that most of the BJP supporters are ex CPM supporters, that's why, and people remember the LF's misdeeds

Essentially, Bengal will have to wait 2 generations, if not more, before they can have a sensible electorate. That's assuming that the state hasn't become Kashmir by then

There's been what - 75 years of brainwashing into leftist ideology, whether by Congress, LF or now TMC (which is essentially Congress, but w/ the cult of Mumtaz replacing the cult of Nehru). It's hard to get sensible people from that crop, although some may stand out
