I watched both episodes of the final auditions.

My main takeaway is that the standard of the contestants is getting weaker with each passing season. From the highs of Ankona Mukherjee, Nishtha Sharma, Sneha Shankar in Season 1 to Mohammad Faiz, Aryananda Babu, Rituraj etc. in Season 2, we are down to Atharva Bakshi and Shubh Sutradhar none of whom are at the level of those mentioned before them .

I found most of them unfinished products and not specially talented. Earlier Seasons saw more prepared contestants.
Of the lot Atharva is the most prepared but the vast majority have been selected for singing + some additional quality that the makers feel will drive TRPs. Singers like Master Aryan and Nishant Gupta may develop into something special later but may flounder in the show if they are challenged outside their comfort zones.

In a field like this, the winner will emerge based on the popularity of the contestant and the soft power of the captain. So, which contestant gets which Captain may influence final results, especially in a close contest.

At this time I am personally not drawn to any contestant and will wait for a few more episodes to decide if the show is worth watching though the season. I watch kids shows to identify future talent mainly amongst the girls (the boys are all hit and miss at this age), and sadly none of those selected have impressed me till now.

So we get the top 15. Some hits & some misses as usual.

Atharv getting direct entry is well-deserved, while Rajdeep’s was surprising. Piyu getting in at all was surprising.

So the 4 Kerala kids get in, I think first time this many on a national show.

Was watching Mia’s earlier clips from her Flowers show - she was v good for her age at that time. But she is average here, compared to the others.

Looks like Shubh will be promoted as the poster boy like Faiz, and Aryan will take care that Neha’s tears don’t dry up. Shubh was underwhelming this week,maybe that’s why he didn’t get direct entry,

I so wished that Pihu won’t get selected , she is not upto the mark at all plus we will be subjected to her drama throughout egged on by Neha.😳. We will also have to sit through Kshitij’s mom…😩

Arjun goes home sans a berth but with everybody’s mobile, car keys etc… Chalo kuch toh fayda hua.
And yes, brace yourself for Rohu baby in the Grand Premiere, Neha has promised to release news about nehu-rohu baby in response to a scripted query by a mom. 😩

Miah Don't know whether that is a competition level song? She was average. Neha telling her You are sooooooo good which sounded downright fake.

Kshitij there was a heated debate by Salman Ali showing off his musical knowledge and Neha pretending that she knows it all, Pawan was the only one who had pressed the stamp Neha found him sharp and the rest did not air their opinion.

Arjun Singh another average singing IMO the Captains went all gaga over him and bribed him with chains. mobile and car keys.

Pihu no comments apparently she had been tutored by Arunita to behave boorish, Arunita looks so unwell and uninterested. Pihu singing all babble and nasal.

Atharva wants to be in Pawandeep's team.

Atharva 's singing was distracted by the team they were all crying and Neha overacting really don't know in which exam the examiners behave so childish.

Neha 's voice is so loud and irritating and mental age of a child that also a pampered brat !

Neha - mental age of a pampered brat - so apt. I seriously wonder, can’t she see that she is going over the brink? 🙄. Most most annoying judge ever , who cannot judge for nuts. 🙄.

My favourite performances from the final round auditions are Atharva & Khushi. Shubh & Kshitij couldn't recreate the magic of their audition performances. Nishant & Aryan are really strong in their genres. Miah, Pihu & Diya seem to be average singers so far, they are selected mainly because of their cuteness/popularity. The youngest contestant Avirbhav has potential. I also liked Devanshriya & Vaishnavi, these girls can do well.

I would love to see Atharva in Arunita's team, Aryan in Salman's Team & Shubh/Kshitij in Pawandeep's team. I think each captain will get at least one strong contestant.

Will the captains perform with the contestants this season too like previous seasons?

I suspect that they surely will. My forecast is that at least one Captain will sing in every episode and the more the merrier!

I'll keep an eye on Laisel Rai, the runner up in Taare Zameen Par.
She also sings other than Neha Kakkar songs :)
May be a dark horse for a strong finish.
