What really grinds my gears about these Indian awards is how they keep coming up with all these new categories every year. They've got categories like viewers' choice, popular choice (like, what's even the difference?), and then there's the critics' choice award. And just when you think that's enough, they come up with something totally outlandish like "best techy actress" or "best star of the female." Like, what the heck?
bold: there are slight differences:
Critics choice is Filmfare (a jury we don't know - or do we?)
Popular is the boxoffice pull + final success + good performance (Filmfare it is - allegedly - public voting / Zee it is a jury which is shown on the website... they also take in account the results of the public voting)
Viewer's choice (Zee through public voting after having elected the popular awards).
I don't take in account newly created awards like this time the Reel Award...they are bogus to either earn quick bucks or to reduce the taxes or to launder money...these Awards come and go...
Except the National Awards there are only the above mentioned Hindi filmindustry awards I relate to because they are the most consistent ones. One is print media (TOI group), the other visual media (Zee TV etc.)
Shraddha got Tu jhoot movie with Kapoor lad at some reels award and varun got actor in bawal Bobby deol villain . Then there was some show where rani and Naina Tara and srk got awards n I think Bobby n Vikrant. Then in filmfare it was Alia n rani then Kapoor lad n Vikrant. In zee it was Kiarra. A. Sowie for the lame joke! Seriously, It's been over a decade now I have stopped watching any award functions. But yes, like a hypocrite i do check who won what & in what kind of category just too have a laugh over it. Unlike earlier i am less emotional over winners even it may be my favourites. Last i felt happy when Vikrant won filmfare & that's it..
Just like too many cooks spoil the food, awards functions are same for me. Even the dance performances, skits, hosting nothing excites me. Count me on those buzurg member of the family who often says "hamare zamane ki baath hi alag thi"..😅

Right now we have had 4 award shows n different celebrities taking home the trophy 🏆 based on attendance or whether they danced in stage or whatever reason? What’s ur take and who do u think are most deserving ?
