She is an adult. They cannot force her beyond a point. Although I agree, they should have shown Mongas pushing Seerat a bit harder.

The sheer stupidity of his family sending her to asylum and he doing action on road Instead of actually going to asylum and getting her back. What a way to whitewash. Get the woman abused by his own family and outsiders and get the man to show up only when she is about to die to make her indebted to him for life.

Now obviously Sahiba will explain why slapping her was necessary to Mongas, how great Angad is that he did not let her get more electric shocks. Of course divorce surprise and all his past abuse is forgotten because he is nasamajh.

Angad pleaded her parents to let her stay after Garry's death. Bears asked her to stay back while they don't take a minute to throw Sahiba in storeroom or servants quarters.

Mongas leaving her makes them callous but not responsible. The ones who the house belonged to asked her to stay and we know they are not decent people who have a hard time asking someone to get out of house.
