Yes the jeeja death is a set up for Surya to hate Imlie and may be revenge marry her. The whole set up is exactly like Sai ka first show like someone else pointed out. Actually Sai pulled off an Agastya who was a complete contrast character. Surya is somewhat similar to the usual tropes. I still feel Sai is doing well - it is not easy to make all your characters different. This is his 4th proper character in his ITV journey (3rd Telugu) and I can tell all of them apart- from clothes to hairstyle to mannerisms to dialogues and voice modulation.

Btw just a few hours ago we were thinking Surya is Agastya and made all these theories. Now we are back to thinking Surya is someone diff (not sure what the status of Agastya is now).

Yes by the looks of it, Jeeja would be declared missing and the sister would be weeping in his absence which will make Surya hate Imlie and he makes Imlie his target for his revenge plan. I really hope he does not marry her because part of me wants Agastya to be back. But maybe he will realize the depth of love Imlie has for her babu and then will agree to help her find her babu. I want it to go the Hum Dil De Chuke sanam in which the husband takes his wife to meet up with his lover.

But hopefully here they will not show marriage between Surya and Imlie. If they do show marriage between Surya and Imlie then that means Agastya ain't coming back or Surya is only Agastya with some weird twisted memory loss story. Also today the camera focused a lot on the scars on the back of Surya - they look healed and I am not able to make it out if the creative team wants us to think it is new scars or old scars. Did Surya get those scars from the fall ? Then we might still get Agastya is Surya with memory loss. Let's see.

@bold:- I have to give it to the technical team. They had an authentic Hindi paper printed out and it was Purwaiya Kabar. Props is really good in this show.

And yes in Chaudhary family apart from lallaji only Sonali has the business instincts. Govind and Karan toh nikhame hain and they are going to tank the business. No wonder Surya is able to buy off the house so easily.

Bold 2: Totally agree! They always have Sai frowning and creasing his brows for Surya. We and Imlie have no confusion when it comes to his mannerism, it’s very much a different character. Sai has been doing a wonderful job with the accent and the voice. Even his body language is different around Imlie. They could just colour match his foundation to Sai’s complexion honestly.

Bold 3: They always blame her for their misfortune but she’s what kept their house together. Agastya would’ve married a Rashmi/Binni type chor in his attempt to escape marriage with Nyonika. Sonali and her Lalla wouldn’t have had a good relationship ever. Amrit would’ve been living off their money to fund his NGO/Casting couch and cheating on Somali without any of them ever knowing. The revenge family would’ve come to town whether Imlie was in the picture or not. They would’ve had an easier time bringing their plans to fruition if anything. Navya would’ve humiliated them a lot more with the Chutki picture situation. Without Chabeli, how would Agastya have gotten the property papers? She has saved them and Agastya so many times. But above everything, Agastya learnt to enjoy life because of her.

I am not sure but today there was focus on scars on Surya ka back and then this dialogue of memory loss. So I am really wondering - is Agastya Surya in disguise ? Warna what was the need to show the scars so prominently ?

Yes please tone down the dark foundation. Why are they making Sai look so dark skinned when he looks dashing as he is. He is definitely portraying the character starkly different. I wish someone gives them this feedback. Match up the foundation to his skin tone.

Unless Agastya is back I don't think the Chaudhary's will ever accept that they did wrong with Imlie. For them they feel that they are correct in holding their grudge against Imlie. That keeps my hopes alive that Agastya has to come back to resolve this whole mess and get Imlie the love of the family she longed for since her childhood. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that Agastya will come back later.

Surya ki background story original ho sakti hai but thats for original Surya character not for this Agastya with memory loss who has been brainwashed to believe himself as Surya after getting consciousness.

Binni real name is Rashmi. So she isn't a small player who randomly met Agastya in the market and took advantage of his death. Pehle se planning karke aayi hogi and somewhat I feel binni and the person Agastya saw before accident are connected

Imlie in ghunghat can to Chaudhary house to investigate about binni/Rashmi now that she has got doubt on her. Apne babu ko diya promise nibhana hai about taking care of his family

Agar Imlie banke Jati toh Chaudhary family would have never let her in so she used this trick

Sunaina I too am strongly feeling that the scars they showed today are the scars that Agastya got from the fall. So I am really hoping it is Agastya only in Surya ka disguise. When Surya comes into the Chaudhary house then he is going to recognize the things and he is going to question how does he know so many details of this house when he has never lived here. I guess that is where the story is heading towards now.

BTW today marks the 160 episodes of Gen 3 for Imlie.
