• Agastya is in a coma somewhere healing from his injuries.
• Agastya has memory loss and is healing from his injuries

These are the only 2 reasons that would make sense for him not to be back yet.

Yeah, if he was awake/remembered what was going on there is no way he wouldn't come back straight away

3rd option - the person he saw before he swerved has him kidnapped and Surya and Imlie will team up to save him. Maybe Sirya will take her case on after this revenge bit is done?

Yeah nobody else knows the deal and they all saw the rituals being done... so she can take them to court.

Ek to Agastya nahi hain. Dusra, the lowest level of characterisation they have reached in all these months when it comes to Imlie.

First she buried the dead body. And in the precap she said she will take all the blame if everything happens. So why did she bury the dead body then? Oh yes, they have to set up the conflict na.

Also never imagined that Imlie would be reduced to such a pathetic creature where she would listen to anything said by the Chaudhurys without reacting. She would listen to all the accusations against her dead sister without reacting. She has taken Agastya's promise too seriously. He never said accept all the accusations of his family members. That's not protecting. Also I am tired of Alka and Daadi's drama. The makers know it very well that these things don't work, still they will insert it. Enough of Imlie being rashly thrown out. Bhai dekh chuke hain bohot baar. Aur kitne baar dikhaoge?

Isse better to Surya ke scenes the aj. Although I do think Sai needs more time to get accustomed to the new character played by him without any baggage of Agastya. I think that sister doesn't belong to Surya's family. But he calls that his family in Purvaiya. Surya - Imlie first meet was well done. Good. Chemistry was definitely there as always.

I have a thought which is not a pleasant one.

So Agastya as a character was soft, emotional and vulnerable. He was not fit for the Gul trope of Angry Young Man such as Maan, ASR, Asad, Aryan etc. So she brought SPR because he would fit in the AYM template that usually work for her shows?

How much ever we loved Agastya, this season wasn’t as popular as the Arylie track online. Do y’all think the pivot is because Gul really wanted a new story with AYM male lead and not the softie Agastya whom we absolutely adore? If that is the thought, then I’m afraid Agastya may not return.

@Illyra, just wanted to point out that irrespective of the fact that we are attached to and missing Agastya, there is something in SPR that’s not clicking. They need to have a better background story for him to click with the audience. Like someone pointed out, it looks like he is picked from somewhere and dumped in this show. If Gul wants this pair to be end game, SPR needs a better molded characterization. Sai ki acting se I have no issues but the writing is definitely pulling him down.

Too many muddled thoughts here. If the makers really wanted to kill 'Agastya' here, then why would they him tie Imlie with his promises? That would really make Agastya hollow and selfish. Don't you all think so? If they really wanted to go ahead with Surya, they should have completed with Agastya's story.

But then Surya is in the montage which means he is here to stay as a lead. So why is Gul making that track which doesn't have much success rate? This track can either tank completely which will bring back the OG Agastya or continue with Surya only.

In the precap, Surya talks about Imlie which may remove all the doubts about Surya being Agastya but precaps are never played in the same way as in episodes. Even then 1 month leap happened and 'Surya' actually has someone whom he calls his sister. So it can give rise to another theory, but I cannot say. 'Surya' can still be Agastya then. But then can't trust the makers. Ek week mein jo dhajiya udaya show ka. Don't think they will do anything to please the viewers.

Now I have come to a stage where I am watching the show for actors.

Be it Maan, ASR, Asad or Aryan, they began as angry young man (much like Agastya) but they also then became emotional and vulnerable towards the end. I actually didnt like Aryan's character towards the end of season 1, it felt like he had become a side kick, whereas at the beginning with the takkar he was on par. Even ASR towards the end became a bit sappy. I didnt watch Geet so I dont know the ending, or QH - I wasnt an avid viewer of it. I tend not to watch tv serials in hindi drama with a islamic backdrop as they tend to make a mockery of it (they always get the divorce and 2nd marriages all mixed up in their meanings)

But yes, I agree something is quite off about this SPR, cant figure out what it is, but it all looks like a facade, something we will see in a comedy show.
