Nah this was the “Will Rayaan? Or won’t Rayaan?” thing. Sadly these sick twists and baits do increase anticipation and viewership which is why makers resort to these dumb tropes. It works every damn time 🤦🏻‍♀️

Jaffar is Rufus because just before Jenny left, there were multiple instances where he showed favouritism towards Dan over Jenny. And out of the two children, Jenny ended up doing the crazy shit while Dan was Gossip Girl. Both Mubashira and Rayaan are messed up...and Jaffar has been biased towards his daughter every time.

Rayaan used to be Season 1 Episode 2-18 Chuck until the Ayra fiasco. Now he's just the Pilot version of Chuck. Remember Chuck tried to rape Jenny on the rooftop of that party? The writers ended up changing his character to being more likeable because of the fans.

I’ve made my stance clear about Zaid’s second marriage. I find it extremely problematic how you pit these two women against each other when the problem is the man - Zaid. MJ is HIS WIFE. He is the one accountable to her for her misery, him not giving her a chance, him threatening her into compliance. Whatever misery has befallen MJ is on her own decision to stay in this toxic marriage to prove something to society OR it’s on Zaid who didn’t give her a proper chance. He is the one responsible for doing justice to her, not Ayra.

It’s pointless to go around in circles bringing it up again and again- our thoughts don’t match in this. And I’m not here to convince you.

This line was added for a reason. It summarizes Zaid’s character really well as a weak man. And it highlights the state of the audience after watching him romance MJ side by side to seeing montages of Ayra locked up/panicking at home which ended in assault. When you’re in a state of trauma and your protector is missing and having a good time, this is what you will say.

The way the last episode was directed and this one - Ayra’s words do resonate with the audience and that was the whole point. If you don’t see it, that’s fine.

That's when you are seeing from Ayra's perspective. If you see from Zaid's or Mubashira's perspective - Ayra has selective amnesia. Zaid was not deaf or mute to any of her demands except he postponed this one. Her other demands were to be allowed to join rival group when she was deaf to Zaid's ideas about it. Why doesn't Ayra ever think about her part in their fall out? It will be her biggest undoing - this mein jhaap...

How is it possible that she's right all the time and her masiha is wrong all the time. Isn't there something abnormal there itself? Is there one thing Zaid did for her that she appreciates. Or she feels he didn't do anything for her...then why is she even married to him!

Now she has a reason to evoke his guilt. What if Rayaan episode hadn't happened? How would she excuse her entire behaviour till now?

Just answer these questions.

Why didn't Ayra agree to Zaid when he wanted to divorce MJ? Kya jaata uska? - His name, fame,money. He didn't care. Why did she insist he have all that before marrying her. Why was Zaid not enough?

I am talking about Ayra’s perspective here since you took issue with the line she said about Zaid. That’s what I explained - why she said it. And it’s not about selective amnesia - it’s about the most recent occurrence which was the sexual assault. Which the last two episodes built towards and ended on. That’s the focus. So of course I’m going to look at it from the victims perspective and how her lines resonate with the audience.

I also said it’s fine if you don’t see it.
