I feel people who are team Ayra feel he isn’t doing justice to her and those that are team MJ feel he isn’t doing justice to Mubashira. Technically he is supposed to be fair to both which in practicality is very difficult but even if he was, how many people would actually be comfortable with this? With 2 wives, it’s hard for Zaid to gain sympathy even though he didn’t choose this lifestyle. Wahaj does a great job expressing his stress, pressure, frustration and tiredness he’s feeling in his situation through his expressions and body language, but the audience needs to learn more about his feelings and inner turmoil to really emphasize with him. He needs more lines.
I have very few issues with the characterisation of Zaid. Somehow, I feel he's expressed well, though limited screen space is irritating even to me...Idk...Wahaj is a fantastic actor, so the thougts seem to actually be pretty well connected and progressive.... only thing is there's nothing to substantiate what we interpret. Otherwise, Zaid is the only interesting character ...MJ has a sense of humour and she's more accommodating in the second half, so the chemistry or whatever little is given - is a delightful watch. ❤️
