For a moment, it's also ok if they don't show anything btw Zaid & MJ. May be they wanted to just show that Zaid is with Ayra and wanted to show the slow build up of Zaid & MJ but they aren't executing that properly as well..

the Zaid Ayra romance is more tenderness/comfort and there’s definitely an audience for that. People dig it so I won’t begrudge Badar those scenes. Especially if the Zaid MJ track isn’t in momentum, it makes sense to throw the audience some crumbs here and there. Not to mention Wahaj was hired so why not make the most of the romance when you can.

The problem is that the Zaid and MJ track is TOO slow of a burn lol. At least for me. And its execution. We don’t even get a proper turning point or scene where it’s shown that MJs feelings towards Zaid have changed. When she declared she loved him in the wedding reception episode I was like WHAT? A much better scene for such a moment would have been that bedroom scene where Zaid comes to hang out with her and she’s in disbelief. Her declaring it so publicly before kind of cheapens the real vulnerabile scene of MJ later on. So a lot of the big turning points are just left to our imagination and assumptions you know? One moment it’s about winning the game for MJ and the next moment she’s having feelings? For someone who was nothing but horrible to her? When was the turning point for her?

The other issue is Zaids feelings and actions towards MJ being a result of how Ayra is treating him. I feel that also cheapens the Zaid Mj love story a bit because it makes Mj seem like the other “option”. I would love for Zaid to have original thoughts about Mj without any of it being related to what’s going on between him and Ayra.

Another thing that doesn’t help the story is the constant background scheming Mj does. Yes it’s hella entertaining but it comes at the cost of the audience assessing if her feelings for Zaid are genuine. Because obviously she doesn’t care enough to hurt the person he currently cares about the most. So the intentions are a bit messy which makes it confusing.

Lastly, it’s just too little too late 🤦🏻‍♀️ The slowest burn in the history of burns lol. I know these Turkey episodes are “their moment” but once again I’m afraid if all of it will just be Zaid reacting to Ayra ignoring him.

These are all, like you said, problems in the “execution” of the Zaid MJ story. It doesn’t seem organic but rather situational / influenced. Still, I’m curious to see how things will move ahead.

Not only her driver but she supported a rapist by asking her blogger friends to upload videos in his favour and the case was closed, she used this information to blackmail her father's friend for contract. Victim of rape or molestation had to suffer because of Mubashira's influence, this woman is no victim

No matter how negative MJ is, everyone wants Zaid to be with her. This to me is the biggest failure of this show.

Do you think some of Ayra being unlikable is intentional? I mean I agree she’s a drag to watch and her acting does annoy me most of the time but the drama deliberately shows Ayra’s flaws. I feel her lack of prioritizing Zaid has been obvious from the beginning. Meanwhile Mubashira has seem to really have fallen for Zaid. Her expressions when no one is looking make it clear that she isn’t putting on an act. Yes she’s still scheming and plotting but for now her feelings for Zaid seem authentic. I feel like an audience forgets all other flaws if a character shows actual love for the main lead. No matter how much turmoil Ayra goes through, I think a major portion of the audience will still feel like she doesn’t deserve Zaid because her ego takes precedence over her love for him.

Also she wanted to have a look at Ayra’s defeated face. That’s sadistic.

agreed. Which is why her proper arc has yet to come. Even with Ayra out of the picture, Zaid was unable to tolerate MJ and was avoiding her. They were both incompatible. But the potential is there - he has to accept his mistakes in the relationship and she has to change for the better - and then they definitely have a solid chance. Ayra is proof that Zaid doesn’t mind being with a difficult person, if he loves them he can let a lot of faults go and still love them - it’s just that Zaid and MJs values aren’t aligning - once they do, they’ll be good 👍

Yes. That's sadistic. Why do you think Zaid gave her that piercing glare and she didn't know where to look.

Ya maybe Ayra is being used to whitewash MJ ? As for falling in love, it was clear when she stayed awake the whole night looking at Zaid.

Mubashira is just like Asif. I don't get how normal flaws of Ayra are compared with crimes committed by Mubashira and the conclusion one reaches is that Mubashira is somehow the better of the two because Ayra is ignoring Zaid. Zaid and Ayra's character arcs are similar, both are impulsive in nature and both have done same thing but both don't operate from a place of meanness or immorality, both are inherently good people with minor flaws like someone who doesn't watch drama will use my watching and discussing a drama as a reason to not like me, it is absolutely okay but can one really compare this flaw with a crime and say that somehow the criminal is better because he or she was using their time better than me?

The list of Mubashira's victims is long from her ex husband to her driver to Ayra to even the house help who was raped by rich guy's son. What exactly is redemption for acts like these?

If you ask me, even I wanted to look at Ayra & have sadistic pleasure 😂

But can I say one thing, if this was MJ's before they had any sort of equation, it would have irritated him & may be he would be cross. But since he likes her now, he just nods his head ' Ye nahi sudhregi' expression & he is perfectly fine with it. He doesn't mind that attitude of hers. I think that's how Zaid is. If he likes someone, he will give them a pass to great extent..

I'm taking about the reviewers and their opinions on ayras character..

It's fine if you support her..there are many like you mentioned on yt n reddit supporting her...but there are also fans and viewers rooting for mj so I guess it's alright because at the end of the day we are just watching a show with a perspective and sometimes there's bias as well so it's okay..
