Anyway I'm still confused about manna's fans

I read an insights report from Ormax earlier, and they use multiple metrics to gauge popularity, not just # of fans.
The ranking is made up of two distinct points -
1) primary research: sample size of over 10, 000 respondents across urban India. Each respondent is asked to name up to 5 of their fav contestants in order of preference.
2) Online metrics: This comprises of both consumer and media engagement. Consumer engagement looks at engagement across SM platforms etc, while media engagement looks at media hype for the contestant. They have developed a number of tailored metrics to gauge these.
More weightage is given to the primary research because that is actual responses so not swayed by bots etc.
But obviously the biggest drawback is that for a country of 1.4 billion, where 226 million people have access to TV, only about 10K are sampled. If we take the example of BB, BB has a target audience of around 150 million. Last week they had a trp of 1.7, which means 1.7% of those 150 million actually watched BB so around 2.5 million watched (excluding online viewers). So a sample of 10K isn’t very representative.
Also, Ormax only surveys Urban India…so it is actually neglecting the entire rural population, which must be watching, and they are also more likely to vote crazily. Isi liye we haven’t seen Arun in the ranking yet although his support is definitely greater than Ankita, Mannara, Vicky!
