We don't know if it was a contract these celebs signed before Oct. Getting 5 celebs in one ad usually means months of coordinating schedules. I mean this is Pakistan cricket team at yesterday's match but no one is bashing them or PCB. People will defend them saying cricketers or PCB is contractually obligated. Maybe it's the same for other celebs you are bashing now. Mahira released a new Lipton ad last week (which is also Pepsi brand). I am assuming that contract was probably signed earlier too.

PCT has yearly contracts with its sponsors. Their current contract is valid until July next year. Celebrities don't.
