Last year I watched Bashar Momin which was made in 2014. That's the only one I have watched and I remember enjoying it actually. Just realised Mubashira is like a female adaptation of Bashar Momin- actually many shades more palatable.

Even I watched Bashar Momin & I absolutely hated Faisal Qureshi. Ushna was literally coerced into having sex with him after marriage. I don't know why it had happy ending.

I also watched Bala of Zanjabeel. Very depressing. Too many tragedies. Whole of Bilal's family dies bcz of Ushna. Though he takes his revenge by making her crazy. We have Azekhah in this. He end up with Azekah.

I watching Cheekh as well. Loved it. But depressing. But again one thing I didn't like was that they unnecessarily killed Saba Qamar's hubby almost towards the end. She didn't have to face too many tragedies. He was such an ideal husband.

Having said that, however, I feel she left everyone behind in the show a bit? She looks much better with wahaj in the promotions and the Maria B photoshoot than she does in the actual show. It’s hard to put a finger on why but I think she left wahaj a little behind in terms of styling and they very rarely match. She almost looks like she stepped out of a magazine while he just looks regular. I think she did go a little overboard with the makeup, grey lenses and the hair styling a bit. All that extra stuff does age her a bit unfortunately. She looks more her age and younger in Jaan e Jahan. So I’m guessing it’s definitely the makeup and styling to blame a bit for that. I like her much better in her vulnerable scenes where she has no contacts and less makeup and when she’s wearing something non preppy. You see the vulnerable girl behind the mask.

I also think the contrast between MJ’s look and Ayra’s is very deliberate and clever. MJ has a lot of vanity when it comes to her looks and style and it irks her beyond measure why the hell Zaid is just not attracted to her? Like she told Asif that “the entire world is attracted to me but your son isn’t and I don’t understand why!” Even in the latest episode she’s relishing in her vanity reading the comments saying she looked “stunning” “gorgeous” etc etc

Ayra, very pointedly, is NOT that. She is pretty but not into fashion, she wears simple clothes and Azeekah chose a lighter palette for the makeup whereas Ayeza does bolder darker shades. I don’t like Azeekah’s makeup either but I feel this stark contrast between the two ladies is very deliberate. It’s to show that all these superficial aspects hold no meaning for Zaid. For him character and values hold more importance than style and beauty. He’s never gonna be impressed or attracted by MJ’s perfection in beauty and style. Which is something that confused MJ to the extent that she was like he’s gotten me doubting myself ! He wants substance, girl. He’s got his priorities right.

So as much as I love MJ’s wardrobe and style, I feel she needs to work on what’s inside, not the outside.

I was just talking about Ayeza's styling in the show. Not MJ. Also I do feel Azekah has almost same styling in almost every show. Type of clothes, dress colours & lipstick shades which she uses looks really same. May different things doesn't suit her. I liked her in shows before but I am not at all liking her in Mein.

Also, I don't mind if Ayeza's looking older than her age. I mean she looks beautiful even when she is going bold with her dressing and makeup. I like it.

Also when it comes to wahaj and Ayeza, I think that's how MJ is shown. She is bold, fashionista & Zaid is not. Also everyone needs to work on what's inside in this show, not only MJ.

Ayeza is among the very few pak actresses who put efforts to bring a signature look to all her characters. Her hairstyle and wardrobe are mostly different in each shows. Her looks very evidently different from one another in chupke chupke, chaudary &sons, lapataa, chand tara and mein. Going by how limited the dressing is for female actors in pak dramas and the restrictions they have she does a commendable job with her looks.

Agreed. She is not monotonous. The effort is really evident. Distinct in each show. Can look really young like in chupke chupke. Then can look like a mature woman as well. I also think that there's difference between looking older & looking more than their age. Older is like when your face looks old ( nothing wrong with it) but looking mature than your age but still look beautiful.

I agree, with restrictions, she does a good job of looking stylish & mod.

Bashar Momin was not so confusing because the female lead was solid and no nonsense. The male lead is not exactly someone to root for, but the writing managed to get it done.

Wanted to watch pyar ke - some starting trouble. Will get around to watching it. Based on these two dramas, Zanjabeel seems to be a decent writer so far. Mein has been sort of ok because I don't mind Ayra or Asif- both don't evoke strong feelings probably because as audience I'm too focused on Zaid and Mubashira and plenty of analysis required there to wonder why each one is doing this or that. Hoping it won't end up a waste of time. 😄 Hate it when the writer crashes the ending.

I don’t think it would be a waste of time if you are interested in Zaid and MJ being endgame. I feel what the bigger disappointment is the general lack of romance and chemistry. Knowing zanjabeel it will be a bittersweet end when they get together in the end.

Also knowing Zanjabeel’s sadistic writing, I feel Ayra will definitely die to pave the way for MJ/Zaid. While MJ is busy playing games with Zaid, trying to win him over, Ayra and Asif will be having their own separate war and showdown and I believe ultimately, in the process Ayra will get killed. Zanjabeel loves to kill off supporting characters and especially if it leads to some man pain.

We are not supposed to root for MJ and zaid at the moment but much later. Right now MJ is still serving her Mein. It won’t break until she catches some real feelings for Zaid and I feel witnessing his grief post Ayra’s death is what will finally finally change MJ for good. That’s when the real bonding will start. Right now she just wants to win.

im okay with this because it makes sense for both these very flawed individuals to loose before they can win. Zaid in his Mein married Ayra and despite wanting to protect her, he will lose her to his dad’s schemes and plotting. Which is finally where we will see Wahaj get some meaningful scenes. Ayra’s death will also be the final catalyst in breaking off all ties with his father. Not sure if Asif will end up in jail or what but Asif is definitely not getting a happy ending in this. His beef with Ayra will definitely lead to him doing some nasty stuff.

MJ is loyal. She will stick by Zaid through this but with the harsh lesson learned that you can’t win anyone’s love through games. She will get Zaid in the end but it will be a broken Zaid, with the knowledge that she was never Zaid’s first choice. But they’re together because it’s all they have left. I believe she will also at some point in the end ask for a divorce (which will show her growth, and getting free of the shackles of society) but this time Zaid is the one who will stop her. I believe her real change and genuine support is what will eventually win him over. I would be fine with this end because these two do need to learn and suffer a bit before they get their real endgame.

^this is the basic jist of what I think will happen lol. Don’t put it past Zanjabeel to kill Ayra. She is most definitely THAT kind of writer lol. I hate it because it’s an easy way out for writers to force situations, but she’s done it so many times before. Ayra is the easy target for sure.

I don't think Ayra will die. I'm pretty sure of that. MJ won't get into the mourning for Ayra or Zaid's loss. I don't think there will be such drastic change in her character.

2 reasons Ayra won't die.

1. She's a cat with nine lives.🤭

2. It's not possible for MJ to think up so much about Zaid and his love and his loss etc. Too much work for her brain and it's not wired like that. At least not so far. I hope the writer doesn't infuse new alien characteristics into her. There's a reason I say this. Remember that fight for Zaid's room. MJ sitting there and Zaid tries to apologise. Her response there is the most natural and typical MJ 😂- She said no big deal, anyway it's your room. No Rona dhona or sentiments🤣...that was very spontaneous and real MJ.

I'm actually thinking Ayra will cause MJ more harm than vice versa. The worst would be if she exposes MJ and breaks Zaid's trust in her a second time...that'd be so terrible.

I don't remember that marital rape bit. Bashar Momin was such an impossible character, nothing he did looked real to me. He was quite comical and insecure from what I remember. That made him interesting and very funny to watch. And actually Mubashira has a bit of that madness. It's irritating when she shouts at people so insensitively...at times her madness is cute and funny.

but that doesn’t solve the big mystery of WHAT will break MJ’s Mein for real. Something drastic has to happen - a major climactic moment for both leads. MJ has to loose once more before she changes for good. What we are seeing right now is not proper growth at all. She’s just in “hibernation”.

We have had 2 climaxes so far. One was the 180 degree turn Zaid took post his marriage to MJ. Next was the build up to the second marriage. I feel the last one is when something crazy happens which will lead to the MJ/Zaid bond. I don’t think the writer will turn Ayra evil. Usually Zanjabeel just adds more suffering to characters who are already suffering. She’s grey just like zaid and MJ are but she’s not black like asif. And I feel her focus will now be more on asif. He will provoke her and Ayra will get provoked and their battle will start.

She’s not going to waste any more time telling Zaid about MJ. She has already mentioned this to him that she sees through MJ’s games but zaid asked her to turn a blind eye to that. So in a way Zaid has been warned. He will realise it himself later on what MJ has been playing at.

Let’s see who gets their prediction right. When Ayra dies, just let me say “I told you so” ;)

I wouldn't say it was MR. It's just obviously she had to marry him. Then I vaguely remember that she had to go to his room & she goes there & obviously they don't show anything else. But I felt she goes because she has to..

More than the ladies, wahaj's styling is so so off. Yeh kahan se ameer lagta hai.. And i don't think it's a choice but an oversight
