Poo was panned by critics..everyone spoke about Kareena's over acting...its another thing that Poo is epic now...BUT Bebo in her worst performances has 100x times more star aura and screen presence and her toe nail has more talent than these pathetic new gen actors...same for Alia...hate her all you want..she has proved herself time and again.

Yes, Bebo was criticised for so long for her performances and especially panned for overacting as Poo in K3G but she as Poo would've been the perfect Veronica today.

I have only seen a few clips of the movie but my God Sonam can act better than these idiots and people wondering why SOTY succeeded where Archies failed, one of the biggest reasons is the acting. Atleast the acting was okayish and actors looked good onscreen and suitable for a shallow film like that. Even Alia was a good in dance sequences like Radha and most of the young school girls had crushes on Varun or Siddharth. This film appears blander than a piece of cardboard.

Not bad.

I don't mind seeing the whole movie like this..few scenes per day on BWF😄

Yes. You can see Archie in this guy.

Don't know why he is not making more movies.

About their being misfit..commented even before the release that Agastya looks too sophisticated to be Archie..had reservations about Suhana too..but then saw her dance video and thought maybe she is Sassy afterall. Reviews don't seem to agree..

And ya..these kids have the privilege of bagging such a well marketed debut on a global platform like Netflix..an adaptation of a universally loved comic character.

They get a star studded premiere attended by who's who of BW and bigwigs from Netflix. Their families r loved and followed by millions. Tell me how is anyone going to see them without thinking of Bachchan, Sridevi or SRK? They got this offer and r talked about the most precisely for this reason..getting scrutinized is just a part of their public life, coz they owe their whole public identity to their lineage. It's a small con to the pros

Actually, I can understand that members here won't understand that my observations aren't influenced by my affection for ShahRukh...they simply don't know how my mind and my emotions work.

From the age of 6, I grew up with stories told in movies (which isn't the same as stories told in books). Book stories fuel my imagination, movie stories fuel my love for magic...but I learn from all stories about people...maybe that makes me experience The Archies in another way than most of the people here...

If I connect with a movie-story emotionally, I enter into the acting persons....and if they achieve to persuade me, I keep feeling with them (if not, I leave them...and also the story...that's what I did with Animal when watching the promotional snippets...it was all pretentious...a lie...a betrayal).

I suppose, that my connection to The Archies is completely different as for others as my focus isn't on the actors but what I feel for the characters...

I can't argue about it - at least not in an environment where the focus is on things that have nothing to do with the movie as such but with personal sensitivities.

I absolutely can't connect to a judgement like this one (and this member is only one of many)

...It is so hard to believe she's made to be someone the guys go crazy for 😭. I hope she takes up some down to earth projects because girl ain't a looker. ...

In movies/stories/real life most of the people aren't "lookers" but just persons... I could enumerate hundreds of people acting in movies as a part of the story that aren't "lookers"...also in The Archies...and among their circle of friends...

(The mindset of people is - far too often - saddening)

You don't have to connect and you don't have to go on quoting everyone who doesn't match your opinion.

She's not a looker and you demeaning people isn't going to change what's visible to the eye. She should play characters which are believable. That's why she can go konkona or smita patil way because she's no DP or Kat. She is not ugly but not gorgeous either.

I couldn't connect to her being the IT girl of the town because she simply wasn't.

Your mindset baffles me too because you think only you are a neutral critic and everyone else is biased because they hate SRK or nepo privileges. Maybe you need to stop judging people on the forum and shoving your opinions to everyone.

Um… it’s really not that deep. Especially for a surface level movie like this. smiley36This isn’t an arts or intellectual movie that requires one to think so much.
