How can someone who saw the movie, be "neutral"...one either connects with the movie or one rejects it - in parts or mostly or completely...

When I watch actors/actresses I'm generally interested in their characters and how they enact what the character is thought to be/ to do.

I remember JTHJ and the bashing that Katrina got...I'm one of those who found that she enacted the character's traits quite well.

It's the same here with The Archies...I was interested in all 7 characters and in some of the adult ones and they all showed - believable to me - what they had to show. (a more detailed description of the characters would be spoiling for those who hadn't watched the movie).

My connection with the characters and their feelings/emotions was such that there had been moments where I teared up...but that is me and my way of entering a movie (if I can enter a movie then it is a 'good' movie to me).

(When I get the feeling that I will reject the movie/characters already beforehand, I won't watch the movie.)

Ok I am changing my tune.

I am a huge Sridevi fan. And guess what? I haven't watched the movie but I will now, openly and proudly declare that Khushi was the best thing in the movie and I will be supporting her only. You want bias? Coming right up!

My Mum didn't like Suhana and she is an SRK fan. She also said Khushi was better (but not the best in the movie).

Well, Veronica was the least likable of the 7 characters...so Suhana played accordingly (and successful when your mom didn't like her). Veronica would answer when someone said "I like to be with you": "I like to be with me, too."

Somewhere I had read that at first, Kushi was meant to play Veronica...but that would not have been the same snooty (unlikable) Veronica... Kushi was good as the friendly and silently suffering Betty (writing a diary).

Sorry but the audience isn't stupid. Lots of negative and unlikeable characters have been loved in the past and appreciated. Serials are filled with them infact, so many vamps go on to become popular and household names.

There is a difference in not liking someone and not liking the character, and believe you me, PEOPLE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE between both.

I meant to say she didn't like Suhana's acting
