😳😳😳 that’s just F’ed up.

First four are romanticizing abuse and last one is ….

ETA: After reading the context of the last scenario it appears that it wasn’t a scene threatening rape.

But yes the movie does have rape scenes which adds to all its other problems of romanticizing and glorifying the abuser under the guise of film ka hero.

Whatever their equation may or may not be behind the scenes, this is publicly patronizing her. How on brand for team Vanga 🙄

So, what I get from all I read:

the mistress licked the shoes

he hit his wife

he made sex to his wife without her consent

his wife wore revealing clothes to turn him on

he first kissed, then banged his wife, then slapped her

he controlled his wife...

Did the character would also be tender, smiling, appreciating, polite?

How did the father treat his own wife (the son's mother)?

Btw., did the viewers here noticed the position of the huge machine gun? between the legs.

They all seem to be so proud of their achievements...do they think that the movie is just a big, big, joke??? Do they, internally, laugh about all those who pay for something they could - later and more satisfying - watch on OTT... in their home?

What don't I get here???

We have no such thing as an A rated film here. It’s MA 15 years + here.

First four are romanticizing abuse and last one is telling her to change her clothes or he’ll rape her.

Nah the last one was said because of the following: The couple hadn’t had sex in a while as he was stressed over the assassination attempt on his father. So his wife wore lingerie to seduce him but he got annoyed saying ‘what is this costume, why are you wearing this trying to change yourself, you know you don’t need to wear that to get me hard. I can be ready at any point’.

The dialogue isn’t word for word verbatim but a rough translation off my memory. Basically his manhood alpha ego ( smiley29) got offended that his wife thought she needed to dress sexy to get him in the mood. This scene was the LEAST of the misogynistic trauma you’ll face when watching the movie. Everything just gets worse and worse in the second half.

Simply toxic, controlling, threatening dialogues. Their is no basis to justify it. How does obsession with father translate into misogyny, violence and sociopathy?

Vanga is an irrational psychopath but what about Ranbir , he is closing in and he is proud of getting inspired from it? 😯😱

Alia run.

Fortunately there are men who are standing up and saying the movie is a dangerous influence.

I had assumed the ‘intimate scenes’ would be the usual kissing/face-eating that Bollywood movies do these days. I had already booked the tickets but then found out about the humping scene AFTER I purchased the tickets. Also my mother is a 60 + year old woman. She can handle these scenes, it was just awkward for me to be sitting next to her when it happened.

OK. Thank you for the explanation. I’ll edit my post.

I almost wanted to say it’s a silver lining if the movie hadn’t touched the subject of rape, but then I remembered reading about that wedding scene, and the bra scene (sexual assault).
