I also felt that it's a delibrate move but not sure because BB did the same with ankit but eliminated him unfairly.

Ankit had to get out one way or another, he'd already signed Junooniyat, and colors slot was gonna be open. They needed the show. It seemed unfair, but khabri had reported the same day that both Gauti and ankit were in the show and it'll start shooting, and it did, by the end of the week he's in CH university.
