Rekha herself is a better actor than Amitabh lol. Even Jaya. Let alone Irrfan or Naseer who had range drilled into them academically at NSD.

The sheer range Rekha has AB doesn't. I do think stardom gets conflated with acting prowess. AB couldn't pull a Truly Madly Deeply, In the mood for love, Ganashatru, Mahanagar, or even something as cheesy as Aaradhna. I cannot even think him pulling off Mayurakshi.

Where he did outsmart his contemporaries is pivoting to age-appropriate roles in the 2000s. I hope Shah Rukh takes heed (I do think he has) because he truly is one of the better actors (along with Saif) of his crop of actors.

You are entitled to your opinion as much as I am smiley20....and regarding the English language......this forum is not the place for it...smiley36

100% agree about Rekha.

Irrfan and Nawaz too. Mohanlal, Fahad Faazil, Nimisha Sijayan. There are so many.

That would have been ick even before the plague. Ew.

Social science education toh hai hi bakwas. Science ka bhi bantadhaar ho chuka hai if the audience finds it remotely sexy. Just yuck.

Also the symbolism is so 'incel-man-wrote-smut' with the woman getting sustenance through the act of kissing or something.

"He is not a hero, you are supposed to hate him"

As I said the movie doesn't want you to hate him, it celebrated him. There's no point denying the fact, Vanga is not someone with a conscious and it is okay.

I am not blaming filmmakers because there's a place for every art form and artist, we can't stop Vanga that's not right.

People celebrating the movie (not collections) are celebrating it as an FU to feminists, have seen men accepting it too but I can't get the denial here, trying to put a narrative which is neither in the movie not outside it

Lol, why aren't you blaming Venga? In fact you should absolutely blame him because it is a crap movie even if you take out the violence out of it entirely.

But besides that, the movie has come out his mind, his words offscreen and his beliefs. It didn't start with the audience celebrating it as an FU to feminists but with a filmmaker who was so ego driven that he decided to stick it to every critic who's ever criticised his films (and the critics majorly happen to be women). He's filling his pockets shoving outrage p*rn down the gullets of the audiences. Why are we blaming women, other audiences, someone unrelated to the movie while leaving off the filmmaker himself when his intention with the movie is so clear that he himself admitted to it.
