You are a foreigner?! No wonder you could understand that Russian.. was it? that was posted in another thread? Fully agree.. With OTT, people have moved onto watching Korean and Turkish dramas, yet Indian tv is still stuck in content that worked 2 decades back. Unfortunately, everything depends on the ratings.. they tend to make a mess of everything in their chakkar for ratings.. that they feel inserting unnecessary drama in everything makes great to watch, but it's such a torture.
Yes dear I'm French actually. Rahi baat Russian wala I wanted to answer her as no one did and google her whole phrase otherwise Idk a word in Russian
(jitna Google baba ne bataya I just answered her according)
Yes, OTT platforms with Netflix, Prime, Zee5, and all people watch few episodes of web series than TV kyun ki wahan sab kuch quick hai (not many eps and great stories) and no loopholes (and you just have to wait for the next season if multiples).
ITV mein the problem as I said is they are writing daily for daily soap and that's the big problem (writers are under pressure and it's not great, not a lot can give the audience what they want but hats off to them, man!). They should change that. They can go with finite shows with a whole story written (beginning to end), then shoot it, do all editing, and then launch, like what we do here in the West but yeh kabhi nahin hoga ITV mein, kabhi nahin. Or go with seasons of 20 to 30 eps each. Plus, with the TRP chakar it's not helping either. That's why I always begin a show and not finish it, one because of numerous eps, stories, and tracks in a loop, too many loopholes in the story, and blablabla.
People still prefer TV but content makes them think about it and turn to the Web. And nowadays on ITV jitna show dekha hai a few are unique only and bakhi remakes with no authenticity tabhi log fed up hai. (Like me, a few shows are in my heart because of their stories even though I didn't complete them for the reasons above). PHs are trying to drag some shows to milestones but bhool rahe hai ke numbers important nahin, content acha hona chahiye takhi log charche kare after it goes off. Even a show with only 20 episodes can be better than a 2000 episodes show, only if the story is perfectly written.
ITV has the potential to change but I guess we need new daring directors in the industry to do it.

But unfortunately, no one in TV land is willing or even bothered to listen.. Ghanta farak padta hain.. People are just interested in ratings and making money. If things are going downhill, they will announce a revamp removing some shows, but replace them with the same crap they showed before..
