Sad. I had full plan to watch it for Ranbir. But after watching Anupama’s review and the last line about throwing up, I decided not to go. Plus the story is so damn hell mediocre. The only reason this movie could be celebrated is Vanga and his portrayal of masculanity.

I dont want to add a single penny to whatever it’s making right now. This madness should stop.

P.S. - Being a feminist I am a staunch believer that making own choice does not fall under the defination of it. Making an informed choice is. And sadly that’s not possible with 100s of years of patriarchy. For example I cannot possibly believe it’s a woman’s ‘choice’ to wear hijaab. Yeah kill me for it, I dont care.

Who is disregarding? I'm speculating maybe that's why they're celebrating this toxic crap. I just can't wrap my head around the idea that someone who understands it can still have a party about this.

DUDE. NO Woman. NO Woman in this world is unaware of fear of walking in a Man s world.

I guess I don't understand it because even if SRK were in this movie, I could not have celebrated it. This is just a glorification of attacks on women as part of what makes a man a man.

I understand what you mean. I think you are disappointed by women watching or supporting or celebrating movie, but none of them are celebrating or supporting the violence against women in the movie. No woman will do that. You know that too.

Well, then. How can they celebrate this toxic crap? You tell me that. I'd rather believe they don't understand it than think they can ignore the glorification of violence against women for whatever reason.

See, I can even understand watching Salman's movies. Because while he is also a toxic piece of crap, his biggest successes don't show him beating up women. Separate art from the artist, etc.

But here, the art is what is problematic.

Anyway, I said my piece. Peeps will do what they will, but I would be a coward if I didn't say anything. Would rather go down fighting.

No he doesn’t!

He got dragged for calling his pregnant wife fat. He got dragged for telling her to wipe off her lipstick. He gets dragged for actual things that he says and does, mostly to his wife.

This reminds me of a conversation a few days ago. I think women do not oppress a lot of things because they are taught that it is the norm of the society they exist in

The solution for this could be education. Right Kind of education. So, as you said women can make informed choices. Forget women it's important even for boys growing up

That's why our curriculum should include chapters on Sex education, Patriarchy, etc

These things start small as curiosity and before you know it we are deep in a puddle

Knowledge leads to right sort of empowerment

I want to know from vanga's wife. Why vanga shows violence against women in his movies.

How is he as a husband in real life.

He gets dragged sometimes rightfully and many times even without a cause. Both are true
