My post wasn't specifically pointed at you, but the general trend I see in this thread. And You are reiterating my point actually.
You have problems with toxicity of fictional characters ..and you proceed to do all sort of name calling on real life people. I honestly dont mind if celebs are trolled or called out (I do it myself), but you cant have it both ways - making toxic comments on people (Ranbir spitting on Alia?) and then calling out Vanga for showing toxicity in movies.
Ek hi thaali ke chatte batte really
That was an exaggeration of her typical fangirling over him for the purposes of humor. I am not condoning it as the right thing to do. I am just saying she does fan girl over him. I still do not see it as misogynistic as taking out a knife and forcing a person to sleep with you. And portraying the lead hero getting away with acts like that yet having a happy ending sends a message. The point is movies have an impact on developing minds. In the past portrayals of men and women have led to sexual harassment. There have been no studies about online blogs where people just discuss. Especially, when people here just have an opinion of who can be right or wrong in their marriage. That is what forums are for. They are not condoning anything misogynistic or celebrating it. The reality is both men and women can be wrong in marriages. Simply pointing that out as a possible reality does not seem misogynistic to me. But to each it's own. Peace!
