Newbird, I think, you're absolutely right. When I watched Arjun Reddy, I already knew about the controversial subject and still I watched it out of curiosity as the film had been lauded for its making.

I have to say that - after having watched the movie - I disliked the filmmaker (Vanga, in his directorial debut) for showcasing (his) sympathy for his main character (it was deliberate that he called him Arjun Reddy with having Reddy also in his name).

However I understood why the movie had been lauded, nevertheless.

Animal's trailer and the other clips of the movie tell me that it - most probably - will be a well done film relative to cinematography, sound and directing. Ranbir's screen presence seems intense, too (even though I don't like what I've seen of his acting).

So, to me (and I repeat it), the film stands and falls with the story and how it is put on screen.

I think, the position towards the movie is everybody's personal choice/decision which doesn't need to get justified.

@bold

That movie was lauded by most of the audience for VD's acting but at the same time it was called out for toxic characterization of AR's character in the movie, no one justified the shit he did in the movie except by the mysoginists Or by the toxic people themselves.

@Red

Everyone is in same position regarding the movie, I mean No one in sane mind justify violence (atleast no one in this forum did) , no one was doing that, and was giving long explanations too why they want to watch the movie still it's appalling to read people's thought process that anyone is going to alter the views on violence if anyone want to watch it for Ranbir or for technicalities for that matter.

It's like judging someone's morality based on the movie they watch as if if anyone read the violence in news paper/ if anyone watch the violence in news it means they are justifying the violence!

People watch crime shows, it doesn't mean they justify the crime.

I can't believe I need to explain this to people!

OK this was genuinely funny, more so because I definitely wasn’t expecting that particular moment of Ranbir. I thought after Alia’s Shiva Shiva it was gonna be Ranbir saying papa papa smiley36

I loved Bramhastra.....but this would have been most of us reacting after Alia chanting Shiva Shiva a million times....smiley37

No one take shit from anyone for no reason. Before judging on some one's morality they should know better.

And i know what you are saying, I'm not the person who cares what anyone post on internet but at the same time i'm not among the one who take shit from anyone for no reason.

For my own sanity I'm going to refrain from talking anything about Animal movie in this forum. People take comments out of context here and make personal comments on the people for their own misconceived perceptions.

You can't ignore bcz as long as you continue to talk on Animal they won't stop from judging your morality , so it's better to stop myself from posting my opinions on Animal in this forum. The extreme opinions I read in this forum made me want to run away from anything related to Animal movie today in this forum. It caused me severe migraine, I better stick to light hearted threads/topics for my own sanitysmiley9

Well, Sonam doesn’t seem too crazy about the trailer.

Also, Vanga sounds highly arrogant in the first slide and slightly disturbed.
