Yeah and it seems he doesn’t have the strength to withstand the bashing. I mean that girl even in a normal conversation is so sarcastic with him, I don’t know how he can bear to speak to her.

It's a deliberate move imo. Sana gets mileage, Anku gets sympathy. Vicky ne jeetna toh hai nahi, he knows. Toh what better track to show her as a lone player than pati being interested in another woman.
