Rani vs Alia who did it better? - Page 3

Rani is a much better actor than Alia, but the 2 movies had different vibes.

Rocky Rani was an out and out commercial movie. Bombay Talkies KJo story was very much rooted in reality and was meant to be unsettling rather than entertaining.

ETA. The story made me realize that KJo is actually a great director when he actually tells stories he understands rather than what he thinks life is like outside the film fraternity.

Alia did well as Shanaya.

God. She is a fab actor.

That seems to be the point...I already guessed with Priya's post...but I couldn't watch the Instagram video as I'm not registered and they demand to agree to the cookies etc (which I don't like to do).

But I got it now that's a comparison how Karan made a certain shot in BT with Rani and then with Alia as Rani.

When HMR mentioned the Bombay Talkies, I just (re-)watched Karan's segment on YT.

Ranis entry is much shorter and more business-like, more in character.

Alia's entry is glamourous and giving a totally other vibe to the character of Rani than what one will see of Rani Muckerjee's character in Karan's segment of BT.

Both entries are fitting to the character one wants to portray. Rani's quite short and Alia's perceptibly longer.

I love Rani the actress but Alia's entry scene as Rani was actually very well-executed.

I like her a lot now as well. She gives me innocent vibe. I will just ignore her husband. Esp after this epi, I dislike Kareena. She has not changed much.

Rani Mukherjee was definitely looking more glamorous and sexy.

Alia has a baby face and sexy just doesn't suit her.
