Alia seems to be in shock, she thought she had it all and now she has to protect deflect and justify everything. You can tell it’s taken a toll on her, Kareena is what happiness looks like - nothing to prove or justify. Karan once again, has made things more difficult for Alia.

Also I wish Kajol and Kareena came together! They would’ve been hilarious together and Rani could’ve come with Preity!

Alia is actually her Bhabhi. I think there was a discussion few pages back about them being in Hindi industry not getting these terminologies right.

Bhabi is specifically your brother’s wife. So Kareena is Bhabi so Saif’s sisters. Alia is Bhabi to Riddhima. But since in Indian culture first cousins are seen as brothers and sisters too, or referred to as such, then Alia can also be seen as Kareena, Karishma, and all the other Kapoor cousins’ Bhabi.

Here’s the part I’m not sure about. How does age factor into this? Does your brother’s wife have to be older than you to be called Bhabi? Do you call her Bhabi even if she’s younger than you? I remember reading that when Shahid got married Mira actually told his siblings not to call her Bhabi because they were all the same age as her.

Relationship is supposed to be the determining factor not age. That’s how the nanands use it to their advantage especially when they are older to the brother’s wife because calling a girl babhi instantly makes them a senior to their respective’nanands’. Some brave ones put their foot down and ask to be referred to by their names but many succumb to the pressures of the hierarchy.

P. S. Why does Alia talk in super fast bullet train speed? It almost feels like words will fall out of her mouth to the ground if she talks any slower. Kareena on the other hand is speaking so calmly, self assuredly 🤷🏻‍♀️It’s a stark contrast between them.

You and me. I also felt instantly sorry for her which lasted until I saw the clip where she was asking Kareena why you are behaving like you weren’t invited. I mean she literally tried to make Kareena a guest at her own home. Such a bitchy thing to say. I can’t even imagine the fight that would have ensued if my mom said that to my bua(father’s sister)😆

I agree with this statement wholeheartedly RK has done absolutely nothing for Alia contrary to what she probably believed when she get together with him. I genuinely don’t believe Alia married RK or even began dating him out of pure love I believe while she was crushing on him to some extent she definitely thought he’s the hot and happening of bolly town and that will take her to new heights but after marriage she realized what she thought was the best to happen to her turned out to be the most stressful part of her life which is her involvement with RK. I’m 💯% certain she’s in shock cause what she thought and the reality of her situation are worlds apart I kinda feel bad for her at times if I’m being honest.

Except I don't think she has realised it or even cares. She's so obsessed with the fact that she got to be the ONE after so many that at times she cannot keep it down. She loves it, honestly and genuinely believes in her mission. I don't think she'd ever come to regret it or realise even. To her, that marriage is perhaps her greatest achievement so far.
