My god when Katha said "pen gift kareie unhey" "puraney jamaney sey unhey bahuth Pyaar hai". A blind even can see her change of expression and sense softness in her voice.
What a dumb psychiatrist!!!

@Bold. Its good isn't it? Katha's invisible pain, love, angst is visible now just as everyone wanted
I always knew once she started explicity showing her emotions, it will feel awkward. I remember when so many whined about "Katha smiling and laughing in front of Raghav and family as if she has forgotten Viaan, what a shameless lady she is."
Showing her true emotions and insecurities was never part of her character from the very beginning for very good reasons. She learnt this skill during Aarav's treatment where she was supposed to hide her emotions and make Aarav feel as if everything is normal. This was also remarked by Viaan in episode 35 or 36 where he was reading an article on Leukemia about how patient's family members have to hide their emotions and then, he remembered all the instances of Katha being tensed and how she hid her tension. In Dubai too, she laughed off and cracked jokes with Abdali when Viaan was right next to her and she hated him like hell.
Honestly, writers were writing Katha in her character from the very beginning of this track. It takes a lot to break her. One such event was ONS and other being Grewal house chaos.
Honestly, writers explicity showed her emotions and condition through her dream sequence at the Open mic event, Her monologue with Viaan in car , her dream sequence with Viaan in Raghav's house and so on. But, people were adamant for some reason which I am unable to understand. Her inner tumoil was in front of the screen but, viewers refused to accept it. It wasn't that difficult to understand her POV if you have seen the show and understood each character and do a brief thinking through character's POV.
Majority of ITV audiences aren't accustomed to this level of logical thinking as so many ITV shows serve you with utter crap featuring - accidental marriage, accidental Karwa Chauth, Accidental pregnency !?, woman transforming to spider, snakes and whatnot where applying logic is simply waste of time and energy.
However, this show is an exception. Here, thinking and wasting your energy indeed helps in understanding the story. Most of the times by the time I even come up with a view, writers show even better picture on screen. For example, recently a discussion on this forum started that "Aarav thinks Viaan slapped Katha". This view may or may not be true but, what this view signifies is a child's perspective. How can a child's mind work. How difficult it is to explain to a child. We grownups, can't think through the lens of a child but, after this remark, many things about Aarav's grudge make sense. Viaan accepted that he hurt Katha, Viaan did so wrong that Yuvraaj beat the crap out of Viaan, He did so wrong that Kailash tried to shoot Viaan but, he got shot in return, Viaan went to jail, Kailash died, Kavita fled to london. So many things without any explanation. If Katha explains him that Viaan didn't hurt her, he won't believe her simply given that he has seen so much. Combine with his already established intellect, it is insanely hard to convince him.
I know this kind of thinking was never required in ITV for obvious reasons but, this kind of thinking is very much common in well written literature and poetries and the writers writing this show are indeed skilled at their craft and this show was well written for over 200 episodes. Yes, they made blunders, but, can't ignore their brilliancies too.
That's why some people of twitter and here too shared common views on the show. As you said "as if Katha told these people on about her feelings seperately". You don't need to go literature college to learn this skill, school level english literature or Hindi literature is enough. We were asked questions to write character sketch of characters and analyze them, that is from where this common thinking coming from.
