But then it continues to not only fight but keeps releasing videos of its Israeli hostages... Building tunnels underneath Hospitals, mosques, and schools, while making the lives of people vulnerable to Israeli strikes and calling it a resistance movement against occupiers.. smiley44 If at all, pressure should have been built on Iran and Qatar for funding these gems. smiley21

I wonder why no hamas supporters are asking them to hand over the hostages to israel and end the war if they are so against it?

If hamas surrendered, israel would stop the war immediately saving millions of lives.

The dimwits who are protesting against israel could also have asked hamas to surrender along with asking israel to stop the war. And perhaps more neutral people wouldve sympathised or joined their cause. But these idiots are only intetsted in speaking striclty against israel while keeping absolute silence over hamas terrorism.

Exactly. They chose to use their resources to build tunnels and foment terrorism instead of investing in infrastructure that could better serve their citizens. None of these Islamic countries grant Palestinian refugees citizenship. They know the danger of integrating Hamas supporters into their own societies.

Forget taking refugees Egypt in fact deployed tanks near the Rafah border.

Same with Jordan which said it would not take Palestinian refugees..

So street protests ended ?? So finally we can conclude that neither the street protests nor social media protests or even the UNGA that passed the resolution with a majority in favor were successful at stopping the war.

IMO, India took a principled stand at the UN - Condemned Hamas, and asked for immediate hostage release, de-escalation, and a two-state solution. This has been our position which is fair.

Unfortunately, Gaza has been structured in a way to maximize casualty. They built tunnels in the civilian area, and stored ammunition in public buildings.. Then what else can be expected apart from death and destruction? At least they should have built some missile defence system to prevent people from Israeli air stikes.... world-class tunnels toh bana liye..On top of that aap rocket fire kar rahe ho...smiley39 Israel has an Iron Dome, a missile defense system because the intent is to protect its people. So when u have made complete arrangements to get ur people killed, in order to justify ur intent to annihilate Israel, at least the first accountability does not lie with Israel or its supporting nations or people.

Fair to who is the question. India is just being diplomatic as is her wont. The “two state” solution is as abstract as modern art. You’d have better luck deciphering hieroglyphics without a guide.

Most importantly close to 60% of Palestinians are opposed to a “two state” solution; they want to reclaim all of “historic Palestine” hence the cries of “from the river to the sea”! There are also reports that 60% of Israelis are opposed to the “two state” solution.

So many diplomatic efforts have already failed. Madrid conference, Oslo accord, camp David summit, Arab peace initiative…fail fail fail fail fail! Did I type in an extra fail in there? If yes, reserve that for the next diplomatic summit on the “two state” solution.

But is there any other proposed solution that is viable?

The river to the sea doesn’t seem to be coming true as Jews are refusing to die.

I understand the trust deficit and security concerns Israel would be having, but then again building settlements doesn’t automatically vanish the population. Palestinians would still be there. I don’t think Israel can absorb them and mess up with their demography, needless to mention their safety. Arab states refuse to take them. So a two-state solution is not wanted by them and an Akhand Israel may also not be in their favor either, because how do you sustain the population even if you conquer the land?

So under these completely twisted circumstances, where fortunately India is not a player in the dispute, at least taking a stand where the coexistence of both parties is encouraged seems like a fair thing to do, even if it is far-fetched & diplomatic. Their living near each other is unavoidable.
