Now I understand why Rahul used to take reviews even when opponent teams were losing back to back wickets. I used to think have some mercy on the batter as they are already losing but now I get that saavdhani hati durghatna ghati

Maxwell came out to face a hat-trick ball and survived a scare. Then he was given a life by Shahidi who couldn't reach to a miscued shot and an LBW review went in his favour as a Noor Ahmed ball was anticipated to go over the stumps. The luckiest break though came when Mujeeb dropped a dolly at short fine. How the Afghan spinner was made to rue that drop.

Think of the greatest warriors in the history of humanity. Think Alexander, think Genghis Khan, think Julius Caesar and today you can add another great contemporary warrior to that list. His name is Glenn Maxwell. An innings that defied logic, that tested the limits of human capabilities as Glenn Maxwell on one leg, with a semi-functional back that took Australia from the dooms of defeat to the whims of victory. Functioning purely on adrenaline, the Big Show has today become an immortal in the world of cricket.
