I'm sorry I'll have to disagree here..nothing wrong in being a housewife , and there can't be a "but" after that..housewives aren't exactly like what they show on itv & doing a job alone doesn't really define the modern women...being a housewife is equally tough, physically & emotionally taxing . We need to get over with the phrase "just a housewife" . ..being a housewife is tough and being a mom with that is tougher ..
it needs 24×7 attention and there is no break.
Whats imp is the discretion of women. Their choice..whether they want jobs or look after their families..whether they want marriage or not...whether they want kids or not..
The but is there exactly because these tv FL's aren't exactly what true housewives are
They always end up with rich guy who have maids working for them. They don't have to do everything by themselves and every other day.
And doing a job isn't what I meant with having an aim. Apne liye toh kuch karo na, doosron ke kaam mein tang kyun adani har baar
An aim isn't always about doing something to make money, you do it because it makes you happy.
And these days ITV female leads have only one aim - jagat kalyan
As in do you truly see a housewife poking their nose in everybody's matters like these ITV female leads do?
And the main point was that it's okay if these FL's chose to be a housewife but then why pretend that they are also focusing on their careers? What happened with Akshara's music therapy, being a singer for someone else, then jam making, and then the law degree? It is the portrayal of these women on ITV that troubles me.
Real women aren't like that.
