Kudos to Netherlands for getting 245. They have bossed this game for the last hour or so. South Africa walk back with a few shaking their heads. They look a bit shell-shocked at this assault in the last 10 overs. After rain forced the game to start 2 hours later, the game was reduced to 43-overs a side. South Africa started well as they reduced their opponents to 50/4 and 80/5, then it was the Edwards show. The Netherlands skipper held one end up and along with cameos from van der Merwe and Aryan Dutt at the end, they ran South Africa ragged. Earlier on, there was swing on offer for the new-ball bowlers but the likes of Ngidi and Gerald Coetzee bowled way too short. When the ball was pitched up, South Africa got wickets. The fielding was uncharacteristically poor and lethargic from South Africa as well, especially during the last few overs. 32 extras given away also shows how South Africa's bowlers lacked the discipline to bowl on a helpful wicket for the seamers. Netherlands will be thrilled with their effort and will genuinely believe now that they have a chance to pull off somethings special in this game.
