Age gap is weird but characterisation is weirder

Abhimanyu seems like a guy who’s going through mid life crisis and likes to be with AK because she makes him feel young and smart . Akshara’s vision of ideal life is very outlandish, she hasn’t grown out of her barbie dreams I guess .

They remind me of those toxic relationships where “highs are high and lows are too low”

Abhim as a character is outright toxic (no, those are not interesting shades but just a chalta firta red flag of a human there) from the start, from zabardasti imposing yourself on the woman you love and manipulating them to get out a confession; to never making your partner at ease or part of family post marriage; to blaming them without even trying to know their perspective or giving them a chance to speak; to constant anger issues; the character is a total gone case.

While on the other hand Ak looks like a lost child whom Abhim, Ar, Goenkas, Birlas all have manipulated at some point or the other. Not to mention Ak’s idea of family and her need to keep it together at the expense of self respect, consent, understanding is outright toxic and self sabotaging.

The two leading characters simply don’t compliment each other, with completely contradicting ideologies and 0 compatibility, I will never really get the hype surrounding their toxic interactions and never on the same page history. Its easier to relate with characters with both ups and downs and we see them overcoming such things; in case of Abhira, every story arc is only about going down

With such mind blowing writing and amazing characters this Gen was meant to be doomed

At this point, it looks like Dkp has simply given up. They know nothing can save lota do couple. So they are randomly filling episodes with naach-gaana, celebrations till they are ready to take leap. In this, the fl and entire Goenka family are coming across as selfish, fickle morons (not that they were much better earlier). Everything good and relatable about this show has ended with Abhinav.

Abhir and Roohi are behaving more traditional than Grandparents at weddings. One speaks with abbreviations, one with twisted words but they know all about morpankh mehndi and all KKHH kid was much less annoying than these two.

Mamaji track will be wrapped up in a bhashan, so what was the point? Unless he will be responsible for AbhiRa death. At this point, I am just wondering how many people will I feel will be responsible for that - Muskaan, Parth, Mamaji - the list keeps expanding.

Why kill Abhinav when someway or the other his name has to be mentioned throughout? Cameo hi tha na? Iconic leads pe full attention dena chahiye.

Hats off to TRP audience for giving this show any rating above 0. I need this amount of patience and tolerance in my life.

Despite their childishness, Kaira as parents were soo much better than Abhi-Ra. Their scenes with Krishna, Kairav and choti Akshu were all beautiful. Not to mention, they had beautiful bonds with Krish and Vansh. They fit perfectly into the role of parents, while with Pranali, it looks like play acting most times. She fails miserably to show that emotional bonding. That is where Jay excelled. He looked so natural with the kids and that added to the beauty of their bonding.

Wanted to quote my Kavya posts but that is in previous cc. Liking it so far. Kavya is a strong girl and makes tough decisions. That's a welcome change from DKP heroines at this point who are having this constant internal whiny chatter. I am like God! How does this person get any work done ? And then I realise they don't. It's just one badly executed panic attack after another, lengthyyyy bhashans which are preached not practiced and endless self pitying and self abuse mode remains activated.

Kavya isn't typically Saas - Bahu till now though it does seem to have a love triangle. I hope it doesn't focus much on that because Shubh is a intenshe red flag but I would still root for his redemption. After Arnav and Asad, this is probably the time I am liking a red flag more than a green flag. But God! I don't want to be ship any more characters this year. Though I may have more success shipping red flag MLs. 🤔

Adiraj is complete green flag and Mishkat is doing an outstanding job. Better than Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. I can't connect with him somehow. DKP does green flag MLs much better, IMO. Anuj and Abhinav had that instant charm, for me, while Adiraj seems painfully cliched.

Baatein A third rate, toxic, adulterous serial. Hemant, Mrunal are the worst siblings I have ever seen. Kunal, Bobby, Anagha, Vandana's Bua all know about the affair but the wedding functions are still happening. Vandana has started those typical internal monologues too and I have had it with the more talk, less show kind of characters. Mohit is the best part of the serial for me but I don't like Kunal at all.

Anupama and Baatein cast are actually good and can perform the emotional, dramatic scenes very well but the writing is extremely poor. Anupama is a show that is on self destructive mode. Anuj getting blamed once more and if Anupama walks off to SH, I seriously think TRPs will fall below 2 this time. With Bigg Boss starting soon, this track doesn't seem like a good strategy.
