I would beg to differ here. I haven’t been a regular of GHKKPM but same thing happened in PKYEK more than a decade ago. Vivian Dsena was dating Vahbhiz who played Sukirti’s stepsister. Vahbhiz was not even playing the vamp but yet fans were vicious towards her. Even blamed her presence in the show for tampering the leads equation offscreen and their chemistry onscreen, which was ridiculous. Initially when a show needs to be promoted the leads will have to give joint interviews. Else how will they attract viewers? Both Vivian and Sukirti are introverts in their own way. Vivian had his own circle from the start and so did Sukirti. But Vahbhiz was trolled mercilessly in the forum for the show not having romantic scenes and the leads not giving joint interviews. How ridiculous can it get? Is any actor above the channel or production house? If an actor starts throwing their weight around they can be easily replaced. No matter how popular they are, eventually viewers will come to terms with it. And this has happened in countless shows where an actor or actress has been replaced at the height of their popularity. Neil is not popular enough to wield an influence on the channel and get his gf or wife a meaty role or sideline the female lead. And there have been shows where the leads cannot see eye to eye but have had a superb chemistry till the last day. If Neil was being unprofessional the production house would have kicked him out a long time ago. Or if Aishwarya was the reason she would have been replaced. Do we know what happened behind the screen between Aishwarya and Ayesha? Why pin the blame on Aishwarya? If Aishwarya was so negative why do most of the cast and crew of that show hang out with her?

P. S - I did not intend to drag another show or forum but quoted that as an example just. Had no intention of breaking the forum rules. My apologies if I did.
