I did have a theory about this in the initial days, but not sure if it works after everything. I feel like with Abhi's abandonment or whatever, Ak became disconnected with a lot of her deep emotions cause they were all tied to Abhi. When she saw Abhinav bonding with Abhir on such a maternal and emotional level, she decided that he should be his father cause in a lot of way she did not feel upto being a mother. Then she did everything she was supposed to do as a mother but could never give Abhir that emotional connection cause she herself was cutoff from her emotions. That's why she let Abhir bond more with Nav, while keeping herself in the more practical position of running the household and everything. So in a way she never became Abhir's mother also. Both were Nav only - mother and father. Abhi meanwhile formed his entire emotional connection with Ruh, but even he was cutoff from his emotions completely and in a brain fog. Both of them did the same thing.
Then once they met again, emotions flowed again. Abhi with his three days of crying on first kasauli visit, and Ak with her anger and hatered for Abhi. Slowly slowly they both got more stable as time passed and more emotionally open as well. So for Ak after all of that and her badhas during temple confession, she was finally able to open her heart to Nav.
So that's why she always keeps Nav above herself. Cause somewhere she knows that she couldn't be the mother that Abhir deserves because of her pain and anger on Abhi.
Nice theory...and logically connects to all that they have shown at that time.
It was hard to focus at the start as you replied to an extremely funny post, but you got me there.
Btw, have you noticed that recently Ak seems to want Abhir to treat her like Abhi treats MJ? with over protectiveness.
Like when Abhir got to know their past he said you both get married. When she was crying with BP, she complained that I thought my son will get angry (and probably defend his mom). But Abhir straight out thought you elders have problems but now you are fine so just get together and be done with it. it felt like she wanted abhir to behave like abhi but he never over reacts like Abhi did in the past with his parents marriage.
Whenever there is a fight, Abhir just slaps his head and walks away saying just sort it out.
When he called Ak and she said you must be so worried about mama, he was like why should I, you are with Docman.
This may be why he never asked Abhi why did you leave us? He must be thinking Docman must be having his reasons, why should I interfere? 😃
