Kartik was wrong but she punished her entire family with him by letting them presume she’s dead.

Akshara too has similar traits. Arohi blames her, and she goes away from her family. Arohi would be pacified but she didn’t think how others in family would feel. Same thing she repeated after divorce.

Overall though Naira was more sorted than Akshu but in leaving home I don’t think she was totally justified either.

Akshara is just a lazy copy/paste of Naira's trait of running away from homesmiley36

The difference is that Naira ran away from her home when she felt betrayed by her loved ones - first the OG Akshara and then later Kartik.....

Akshara doesn't just run away from home, she runs away from all her relationships while trying to forcibly play victim and pretend she is alonesmiley36.....it's like she's trying to do all this to be a wannabe version of the mom she doesn't even remember smiley36

Naira let everyone think she was dead or lost in both cases.....while Akshara actively gave info to her family about where she was the whole time while still staying away from them.....lol

True, Naira and Akshara definitely have one thing in common running away from problems instead of facing it..but Naira single handedly raised the child whereas Akshara’s needed support..so Naira is slightly stronger but, both are equally wrong when it comes to running away without informing families!

Not slightly but she was way stronger and more righteous. And Ak ran without informing twice i.e. in both leaps unlike Naira. During first leap she moved to Mumbai with her father. And running away was her kamzori since childhood that's why she thought it was easy way out. She had survived alone all her childhood in Hrishikesh so she took the risk again but Ak is foolish! And yes Naira was wrong to make her family especially her father who loved her dearly to go through the hell of thinking his daughter was dead.

Naira was undoubtedly a stronger and more independent woman. But Akshara also had health complications during pregnancy and even emotionally fragile. There’s nothing wrong if a person wants or needs help - if it is done in a straightforward and ethical way. But I disagree with the hiding and lying part.

If there was a confrontation between her and Goenkas where she explained why she didn’t trust them to return or ask for help - her decision would have been partially justified. However after just one line from Manish when he says - I understand you didn’t want to burden us - the topic got closed! They probably just changed the script mid way without filling in the details - her reasons for hiding just became more absurd!

Burden? Is she not family? Isn't part of a family's duty to help, support, and protect a fellow family member? Especially someone who is in a fragile state? smiley44

I think it would have been interesting had the Goenkas found Akshara got her back and then hide her and the child. Or they could have sent her to the US and AG could have taken care of her there and found out about the one child being alive and hide that from the rest of the family. Then Akshara comes back to Udaipur for x,y,z reasons and she has a friend pretending to be her husband and father of Abhir. Abhir gets sick and then that opens drama of families finding out the truth of Abhir and Akshara’s whereabouts and life for 6 years.

@bold - it would have been an interesting track. However why does she have to or get her kid to pretend? Birlas are not mafia people. And the financial difference was highlighted in custody for Sharmas. Goenkas are almost equally wealthy. It would have also been interesting to see if Akshara weren’t married - would Abhimanyu have realized his mistakes sooner? Was his anger at her moving on clouding his perceptions all this time? They could show him trying to get her contact to apologize but Goenkas not giving in.

The hiding part is just for drama sake and the leap. Its the curious factor. You still need people to tune unto the show to see what is happening and why.

Lets say Manish had been able to get Akshara a back and convince her to stay in Udaipur. Then what story drama could you do next? Goenkas all defend Akshara and stop Abhi and Manjari from getting access just because they now found out she is still with child? Abhi did divorce her when they were both at the lowest point. Understandably he was distraught but he also cannot just keep breaking relationships just like that. A lesson he has to learn. So with families fighting they could go for a leap and we see Abhi and Akshara just co-parenting? That's not really exciting.
